SCOPE OF ROLE
 
The Principal Strategic Planner will be the right-hand of the President, NeueHealth Solutions to directly support performance management of the business. This role will take ownership over a wide range of responsibilities from business planning to operations. The Principal Strategic Planner will be the lead architect in developing and refining new strategies to support and drive performance of owned and affiliate clinics. Client and relationship building is a critical aspect of this position and it is expected this individual will pursue, develop, and sustain operational and strategic relationships with provider organizations. The Principal Strategic Planner will have exposure to the ins and outs of the NeueHealth Solutions and gain subject matter expertise in business verticals. As such, this position is ideal for an exceptional, high-performing individual who can grow with the organization.  

Strategic Leadership

  • Function as a strategic thought partner with senior management and market leadership regarding NeueHealth’s performance in new and existing markets
  • Advise and inform President of NeueHealth Solutions and NeueHealth Leaders of business activities, performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended courses of action. 
  • Lead formulation, preparation and communication of strategic and operational business plans for the NeueHealth Solutions 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build out core components of the NeueHealth Solutions  
  • Support focused growth, including market strategy, product development, sales, and transactions 

Performance Improvement

  • Identify performance improvement levers and recommend potential interventions for NeueHealth owned clinics and affiliates
  • For prioritized interventions, prospect, build relationships, secure deals, and manage strategic partners
  • Support market delivery teams in developing and presenting materials to providers
  • Scale and commercialize performance improvement product across markets and partners

Analytics and Reporting Management

  • Partner with Analytics leaders to build analytics and reporting roadmap informed by performance improvement levers
  • Standardize, scale and commercialize analytics across markets and partners
  • Support Analytics team to set up prioritization process for ongoing analytics and dashboard build and improvement

Operational Improvement

  • Optimize affiliate management processes across markets and lines of business (IFP, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
  • Partner with business units to develop and monitor NeueHealth Solutions project plan which outlines the scope and project requirements, acknowledges critical milestones, and identifies resources, systems, and individuals needed to successfully execute the plan. 
  • Collaborate with marketing team and/or consultants to produce, plan, and budget for internal and external facing communications 


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8+ years consulting, strategy, product, or business development experience in consulting firm or large corporate
  • Healthcare industry experience is required
  • Experience working with risk-bearing provider entities and ACOs under value-based arrangements and progressive payment models


PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Strong organizational, planning and project/time management skills
  • Clear and concise communicator, particularly within complex topics 
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple tasks with a sense of urgency to complete projects 
  • Must exercise good judgment in making decisions, handle stress in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills 
  • Ability to assemble, analyze, understand and present complex information to all levels of management 
  • Advanced PC skills required, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for business and financial analyses and modeling
