About Digital First

Drift is a Digital First company, which means Remote is the primary experience for all employees. For the majority of our positions, your location is flexible! If “Remote” is stated in the job location, that role can be located anywhere Drift is authorized to do business in the United States.

About the Role

Drift is looking for our first Partner Training Consultant to join our fast growing partner program supporting our Drift Solution Partners and ecosystem.

The Partner Training Consultant is responsible for driving new and existing partners in the Drift Solutions Partner Lifecycle through the onboarding and targeting phase of their partner journey.

In this role you will master the strategy and implementation of Revenue Acceleration and partner closely with Channel Account Managers to activate their Partners. And, most importantly, help partners produce best-in-class strategy and services offerings they are motivated to take to market alongside Drift.

The Partner Training Consultant (PTC) will be responsible for ensuring our partners’ sales and services organizations are well-equipped with the product knowledge, differentiators, incentives and processes necessary to effectively sell or refer Drift’s current and future solution offerings. The successful candidate will combine a solid understanding of the Revenue Acceleration Model to help our agencies build a Revenue Acceleration practice.

The Partner Training Consultant will help design and deliver partner training curriculum that will be delivered in workshop settings and repurposed for on-demand training in our partner enablement portal.

You will develop a command of service partner delivery and sales processes to ensure the appropriate team members of each partner are involved in the certification process.

The Partner Training Consultant will liaison with customer team members to ensure certified partners are internalizing and operationalizing any learnings that occur in the field with our joint customers and create a culture of respect and trust between our partners and Drift employees.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own, lead, and evolve Solutions Partner training at Drift
  • Create, develop, manage, and lead the successful execution of the cross-functional partner enablement programs in conjunction with Channel Account Managers, Product Management, and Solutions Partner Marketing, specific to teaching partners how to ‘price, package, and sell’ (PPS) a Drift-specific service offering.
  • Partner closely with our Business Value Consulting Team.
  • Develop a Virtual Classroom Workshop structure to deliver PPS curriculum (live) to strategic partners
  • Identification and reporting of Solutions Partners Agency and individuals progress toward key milestones
  • Work with Drift Sales and Support leadership to understand knowledge gaps in our partner content (battle cards, knowledge-base articles, etc.) and work to close any sales facing content gaps.

Within one Month, You will accomplish:

  • Ship the first version of the “Revenue Acceleration Blueprint” -- the training workshop to certify partners in Revenue Acceleration.
  • Begin 3 workshops to certify partners in Revenue Acceleration.

Within one Quarter, You will accomplish:

  • Certify 7+ partners Revenue Acceleration offerings.
  • Progress 5 partners from “onboarding > targeting > engaging” in the solutions partner lifecycle which yields 5 total sourced opportunities with their respective Channel Account Manager and territory AE.

Within one Year, You will accomplish:

  • Establish a fully productive Partner Training Consultant book of business that benchmarks a capacity model for future hires.
  • Segment partner training and onboarding from general to specific courses and workshops. For example, Revenue Acceleration Blueprint as the general course and specific courses for Virtual Events, ABM, or key verticals such as financial services or healthcare.
  • Achieve consistent performance against leading indicators including KPIs: Partner Certifications and time from “Onboarding” to “Engaging,” yielding Partner Pipeline.
  • Achieve consistent performance against lagging indicators including KPIs: Customer Health Scores and Net $ Retention of partner serviced accounts.

Attributes for Success

  • 3+ years of agency or consulting experience in a high performance environment.
  • 3+ years of sales or sales enablement experience with increasing influence and responsibility
  • Strategic thinker that can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then execute those plans
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting in executive-level settings.
  • Proven excellent program management and project management skills
  • Strong marketing agency acumen and the ability to articulate the business value of the offerings you will be certifying partners in.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Action Oriented - You have a passion for getting things done and finding solutions and find red-tape unproductive.
  • Cross-functional leadership -- the ability to work across multiple business units and phases of the buyer journey.
  • Ability to think strategically and “Favor the Long Term”
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize and practice extreme ownership.
  • Life long learner, with yearning to make an impact.

An Insider's view of Drift

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Drift is a digital first environment, which means employees’ primary work experience is remote and Drifters can collaborate in “Conversation Spaces.” This allows us to focus on outcomes rather than time spent in the office. If we're hitting our goals, you are free to work hours that suit you, wherever suits you. It allows for the ultimate balance.

Kaitlyn

Marketing

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I feel really lucky because I get to work with the Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Ops team on a regular basis. We say "One team, one dream" un-ironically and are always willing to hop into anything that benefits the customer.

Sara

Conversational Marketing Specialist

What makes someone successful on your team?

Our leadership principles are the core of who we are and how we operate every day. Bringing these in to your actions, decisions, and how you deliver results is the surest way to be successful here. Walk the talk. Focus on the customer. Deliver results every single day.

Brit

Director of Learning and Development

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

Today, all of our lives run in real-time. As a result, our expectations for how we communicate with businesses have changed: we expect answers in real-time too. Customers have all of the power today, and that’s why we put a premium on how we’re treated. Businesses need to adapt to this shift in order to thrive today, and that’s what we focus on.

David

Executive Chairman, Co-Founder

What does your typical day look like?

While my days vary, it usually consists of connecting with customers to walk through their results and celebrate their wins, digging a bit deeper into what’s going on at their organization, and delivering recommendations on how they can achieve greater results. I also connect with Product to share what our customers are saying to help improve Drift

Chris

Customer Success Manager
