Partner Success Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW
Partner Success Managers support the development and scaling of our growing partner ecosystem. Working closely with our Alliances, Training and Professional Services teams, you will focus on advancing our partners’ technical and delivery skills to ensure go-to-market readiness and delivery success. The Partner Success Manager should be a strategic thinker who can understand our partners’ needs, and work to develop, launch and execute effective programs to ensure our customers’ success when a partner is engaged in a Benchling project.
This is a new function at Benchling, and we are looking for someone, who can help us create, build, execute, and evolve our partner education, certification, and enablement programs to support our evolving partner strategies and priorities. You will need to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, and teams across the company to ensure we equip our partners with the right tools to make them successful. And you will work hand-in-hand with our partners resources, guiding them to successful project delivery, inspecting and monitoring their results, and ensuring consistency in their projects.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Create and execute Partner playbooks and best practices for various Benchling Services work that our customers ask Partners to take on.
- Onboard Partners into the Benchling ecosystem, build and execute enablement and success plans to enhance their capabilities and delivery capacity.
- Interface and collaborate across internal Benchling teams to determine how to best utilize partners for identified services work. Then work with the Partner organizations to ensure they are delivering as per plans agreed upon by our organizations, and our customers.
- Work with CX Leadership and our Alliances team to define, design, and create the Benchling Partner Advisory Services to ensure Benchling Partners are successful as they start to Prime Benchling projects for our customers.
- Provide Advisory Services for Partners and ensure they deliver a high quality experience for our mutual customers during all phases of an implementation, Support and Managed Services engagements.
- Collaborate with training, CX and Engineering to create and/or modify internal Benchling trainings, assets, artifacts, accelerators and best practices for Partner needs.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create a certification program for the Partner ecosystem.
- Deliver and coordinate monthly/quarterly/yearly Enablement sessions for partner ecosystem to cover needs not covered by trainings.
ABOUT YOU
- BS or MS or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or similar Life Sciences field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a lab or research setting. You must be able to empathize with scientists and quickly understand complicated scientific concepts.
- At least 3 years of Software Implementation experience, preferably with a SaaS software company.
- Strong communication skills. You must be able to quickly and effectively connect with a range of stakeholders, including cross-functional Benchling stakeholders, partner project resources, customer scientific and IT stakeholders, and executives.
- Self-starter with the ability to be successful in a startup environment.
- Curious, creative, and tenacious. You should be excited to collaborate with partners, customers and other Benchling teammates as we build and scale this new part of our business.
