Job purpose:

You will be developing and supporting our partners to successfully deliver Okta services to our valued customers. The manager will be working closely with our alliances and partner services teams to select, certify and prepare our partners to build and grow their identity management delivery practice. The role is responsible for providing oversight of partner delivered solutions and the practice development at our service delivery partners.  This includes ensuring that they are building viable service delivery practices that make efficient use of Okta and accelerates time to value for our customers.  The role works with our partner alliance teams on a regular basis to support a strong delivery practice.  In addition, you will be introduced late in the sales cycle to the project teams to ensure proper enablement of their team for successful outcomes with our customers.

The ideal candidate has both a delivery background that enables them to easily interact with service delivery leaders and project teams, and a business background that enables them to engage at the executive level. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling propositions.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Own relationships and strategically manage service delivery partner teams.
  • Ensure high levels of delivery team engagement, satisfaction and loyalty from late stage sales through customer deployment.
  • Establish a trusted advisor relationship with key partner stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Collaborate across Okta to meet our business objectives with delivery partners and effectively coordinate with internal teams including product marketing, support, engineering, alliance teams, and sales teams.
  • Identify implementation risks and collaborate with internal teams to remediate and ensure successful outcomes for our customers.
  • Serve as the voice of the partner delivery teams and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas of partner engagement with Okta
  • Assist delivery partners in scoping and managing deals to ensure partner projects align to Okta delivery methodology
  • Define, manage, and execute on a delivery partner quality program
  • Assist delivery partners in partner direct sales cycles to ensure best practices are being followed
  • Assist with the design partner success packages to enable delivery partners to execute with quality
  • Design learning and training plans for delivery partners
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of delivery partners

Qualifications:

  • 5+ or more years of SaaS implementation experience
  • 4+ years of consulting experience, including at least 2 years of people/project management including remote team management experience (Strongly preferred)
  • 3+ years of partner management experience including offering subject matter expertise and project management oversight (preferred)
  • Broad knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security space
  • Experience in developing and have used multiple implementation methodologies
  • General knowledge of cloud architecture as well as on-premise IT landscape
  • Able to be a hands-on leader
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to audiences of all levels 
  • Embrace challenging situations and enjoy solving complex problems
  • Hands on experience with project delivery, including all aspects of program management and SDLC

  • Assists in the facilitation of meetings, providing well defined agendas, tracking / handling action items and taking meeting notes
  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/ sensitive information thoughtfully

  • Demonstrates team leadership and is a highly effective teammate
  • Facilitates effective team interaction
  • Communicates effectively with partners and customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen partner/customer relationships
  • Manages partner and customer expectations effectively

Education, Training and Certification

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline required. 
  • Okta Certification(s) (preferred)
