Job Description

Your Career

As a member of the Palo Alto Networks Americas Channels Team, the successful “Partner Services Enablement Manager” will be responsible for working with Americas based focus Partners to build, sell and deliver Partner branded value-added services that support and complement Palo Alto Networks product sales into their accounts. These services will include Professional Services (implementation, migration and optimization services), Health Checks using the Best Practice Assessment and SLR, and MSSP Services. The successful candidate will be employing world-class partner management, collaboration and program skills to identify areas of need in our business. They will work hand in hand with our Channel Business Managers, Global PS/Support, and our direct sales leadership teams to ensure partners are building, selling and delivering high quality services as part of their Palo Alto Networks solutions.

By educating our partners on the value of services in helping customers maximize their use of the products; our customers will reduce their risk of cyber-attack, they will realize the value of the solution which increases upsell opportunity, reduces risk of replacement and provides an enormous services sales opportunity for our partners (which run at much higher margin rates than product sales).

Your Impact

  • Ensure partners are trained and capable to market, sell and deliver Professional Services offerings that ensure customers success and maximize the use of our solutions so they ultimately buy more and refer us to others
  • Assess Focus partners current services offerings and assist them in further developing and optimizing their services offerings using our programs and tools
  • Work with our partners, direct sales and CBM teams in identifying opportunities for partner services attach through regular SFDC opportunity report reviews
  • Work with Palo Alto Networks Partner PS program managers to identify and recruit partners into the CPSP and PSDP program and to drive partner attendance in training programs
  • Work with the ASC and MSSP teams in understanding our go to market strategies and driving our best practices into Focus partners developing their offerings
  • Ensure every sale of Palo Alto Networks is accompanied by the appropriate amount of Professional Services to ensure customer success and satisfaction
  • Go back to every customer they have sold to in the past, perform Healthchecks /run BPAs and sell PS/remediation services that optimizes the use of our products
  • Ability to track and report on the amount of and quality of PS that is being delivered by our partners
  • Supporting a large team of channel managers and engineers, must be a team player, able to work with direct sales team and have experience working with channel partners
  • Domestic travel is required

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS technical degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of sales experience and working within PS consulting organizations
  • 3 – 5 years of channel or partner experience in selling Professional Services and strong understanding of partner profitability
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Proven experience enabling partners to launch and sell services to large enterprise companies with successful results working in a sales overlay role in a reseller or manufacturer is required
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure based security appliances
  • Practical knowledge of routing and switching products that will be installed adjacent to the Palo Alto Networks appliances
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally
  • Superb organizational and prioritization skills
  • 'Whatever it takes' attitude and motivation to deliver above quota performance
  • Experience defining and building a manufacturer’s services or reseller services organization
  • Experience working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel centric go to market approach

Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum compensation (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) for this role to be located in the state of Colorado. If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $209,700/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
