Partner Manager, Platform Partnerships, Lens Strategist

With the launch of Camera Kit, we’re enabling developers to build incredible new product experiences that leverage some of Snapchat’s best features. To help drive adoption of Camera Kit with the developer community and ensure partner success and satisfaction, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Sr. Partner Manager/Lens Strategist to work with third party app developers, Lens developers and internal Snap teams to help define the partner’s content strategy and Lens concepts in a way that aligns with the partners’ objectives, support the production and management of their Lens development, analyze the performance of their Lenses and provide guidance on how to continuously improve their Lenses, establish best practices across all of the above and train and educate the partners on these best practices.
As a member of the Platform Partnerships team, you’ll work directly with Snap’s key strategic developer partners and drive highly cross-functional collaborations. Working from our Santa Monica, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with Product, Business Development, Design, Engineering, the Lens Creator Community, Revenue, Legal, Design, Communications and Marketing to create success for our partners’ end users, our partners, Snapchatters, and Snap.
What you’ll do:
Work with the Sr. Partner Manager, Lens development, Creative Strategies, Design and business development leads to create strategic Lens content plans for Snap’s key partners
Lead partners, designers and Lens creators/developers through the development of the Lens strategy, pitch, presentation, production and success management of their Lenses
Continuously collect, define and document best practices around Lens strategy, development and success management from cross functional teams
Help educate and train partners and their Lens developers on these best practices
Support the management, launch and success of Camera Kit partner integrations
Build and maintain strong relationships with those partners and their Lens developers to drive success and satisfaction.
Provide post-launch success management support, strategic analysis and recommendations for driving success for partners, their end users, Snapchatters and Snap.
Provide feedback to the Sr. Partner Manager to continue developing, improving and scaling Snap’s strategic partner management operations based on industry best practices and on processes and initiatives that have generated proven success with Snap’s partners.
Work closely with Partnership leads, Product and Engineering teams to scope new projects, document requirements, and ongoing feature improvements
Resolve and triage partner challenges.
Track and analyze key metrics that measure partner success and value.
Serve as the “voice of the partner” within Snap, disseminating relevant information to internal stakeholders shareholders as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven ability of creating, developing, and/or producing outstanding content for AR, VR, MR and games
Understanding of how to tell stories with insights and research, and how to ground creative ideas in data and in a way that aligns with the project’s objectives
Comfort in facilitating and leading groups in ways that inspire and surprise
Proven ability for managing and producing multiple projects while maintaining strict attention to details and timelines
Understanding of creative development processes and IP management
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading diverse, cross functional teams across geographies and business units.
Proficiency with project management tools and processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in AR, VR, MR or games development, content strategy and production
Expertise in strategic partnership and project management roles at companies building consumer facing or developer facing products.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a creative, technical or quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Comprehension or understanding of basic programming concepts or languages (Javascript)
Proven track record of driving success for partners and your employer.
Proven track record in cross functional collaboration.
Strong professional network of both large and small developers across multiple consumer app verticals a plus.
