Are you a Sales-Oriented Entrepreneur looking to continue your career or break into outside sales? Our business is growing, and we have created a new role to maximize preferred partnerships within our retail accounts for Georgia-Pacific Building Products for our Structural Panels (OSB/Plywood) team! Georgia Pacific is currently seeking a Retail Sales Representative based in Houston, Texas or Dallas, Texas. This is a home-based role that requires extensive travel.

The Retail Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing relationships in across retail accounts/locations. They will educate staff and promote GP's specialty products to various levels in the customer's organization. They will also ensure that GP's products are well represented, merchandised, and available for end customers. A qualified candidate will demonstrate strong sales instincts, territory and time management ability, and excellent communication and human relations skills. If this sounds like you, let's talk!

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with decision makers and influencers at account locations
  • Train account employees on GP's specialty products
  • Ensure proper merchandising, placement, and inventory level
  • Act as a go-to for any questions or concerns
  • Report on trends, successes, concerns
  • Develop plans and initiatives to increase specialty sales
  • Extensive travel to account locations



The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree OR 2 years of sales and/or account management experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% (50-60% overnight)


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience performing data analysis
  • Experience in sales, including: making initial sales calls, innovation and problem solving, closing sales, and maintaining customer loyalty
  • Experience in the building products industry a plus
