About the team
The Enterprise Regional Strategy team helps drive new revenue for FIS. We form part of the Merchant Solutions division of FIS - providing payment solutions to the world's largest global companies. We work closely with General Managers and Sales leaders to build strategic growth plans, drive new market launches and execute new growth initiatives to maximize sales success. We also work closely with our Product leadership to ensure successful in-region product rollouts and take-up.
What you will be doing
The North America Senior Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and driving Enterprise regional growth with a strong focus on sales execution. You will create valuable market insights, assess our existing presence and capabilities in the region and produce strategic recommendations for in-year revenue growth. You will then be the driver behind the execution of your recommendations, working in collaboration with teams across the business to make a tangible impact on key commercial KPI's.
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Act as the "Go-To" Commercial and Strategic Partner for Sales GMs and Leadership; you will own and drive high-impact initiatives while managing multiple stakeholders across the business
  • Work with our Geo Expansion Team to identify new, high-growth markets for entry and, once approved by the business, embed these plans into regional sales strategies to maximize revenue success
  • Identify, size and consolidate regional Product requirements and engage with Product and Engineering (Executives and Senior Leaders) to drive delivery
  • Facilitate Regional Quarterly Business Reviews with our SVP North America Division Leader and CFO including performance against Budget, key risks, dependencies and opportunities
  • Produce business cases, with a focus on revenue modelling, to support the build of regional requirements and champion these internally to ensure sign-off
  • Own Product Go to Market of high priority Products in the region
  • Engage with Schemes to optimize commercial value from payment networks in the region
  • Identify and support execution of Regional M&A opportunities
  • Create overviews of regional market, consumer behavior and payments landscape insights
  • Create compelling sales collateral and attend sales pitches with Global Enterprise merchants to close our highest in-year revenue opportunities
  • Design and deliver Market Overview training and sales toolkits including Sales Playbooks and Competitor Battlecards


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, engineering or information technology or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • 3-4 years in strategy consulting or a commercial role in payments or a similar field
  • Commercially focused, with a desire to drive great outcomes for the business
  • Experience with engaging on a strategic level with key stakeholders
  • Proactive and strategic thinker, able to look ahead to foresee issues and plan around them
  • Excellent organization skills, able to coordinate across multiple projects and stay on top of details
  • Analytical skills, including intermediate-level financial modelling and business case creation
  • Clear, proactive communicator (both written and verbal), able to listen and work well with others while being confident and assertive where required
  • Developing networker, both internally & externally, able to build relationships across all areas of the business


Added bonus if you have

  • Experience of customer delivery (sales, presentation to customers etc.)
  • Technical expertise in payments products
  • Project management experience
