Job purpose

The VAMC, Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing reimbursement and payer strategies to deliver value to our veteran partners and maximize opportunities for ZOLL. The VAMC Program Coordinator will drive accountability across the VAMC Reimbursement Team to meet the designated goals.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal expert for the assigned program with responsibility for communication of expectations, process optimization, and demonstration of value to cross functional partners
  • Develop relationships with the assigned payer personnel to advance both transactional and strategic level initiatives
  • Lead cross functional program execution with consistent collaboration to solicit feedback and develop consensus from ZOLL partners
  • Understand payer needs in the assigned program to drive value to the payer as well as ZOLL
  • Clearly communicate goals and objectives of assigned payer program to internal ZOLL departments
  • Execute programs that positively impact physician, patient, and payer engagement with the WCD
  • Work with field sales and reimbursement operations to outline successes and identify opportunities in the current payer program
  • Drive opportunities to improve or build programs to support ZOLL's corporate goals and objectives
  • Play a lead role in educating internal partners and stakeholders on evolution of payer practices for pricing, reimbursement, and claims processing across key markets
  • Assign workload to the team and coordinates coverage as necessary
  • Act as the point of contact for issues of moderate complexity relative to job duties
  • Perform regular quality checks of orders worked by the VAMC team.
  • Provide coaching to the team as needed
  • Assist in tracking and reporting
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Complete one on one meetings with the team monthly
  • Complete yearly performance reviews
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative in executing strategies to improve results.
  • Strong reimbursement operations background.
  • Fluency in insurance and medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated leadership • and strong communication skills .
  • Track record of delivering results within a large organization through collaboration.
  • Highly developed organizational and planning skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the reimbursement and appeals processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present and articulate effectively to individuals on ail levels.
