Department OverviewThe Mobile Video - WatchGuard portfolio is structured within Motorola's North America Sales organization. This department is exclusively focused on driving sales growth for Motorola's Mobile Video portfolio in the US and Canada, primarily through a network of go-to-market partners.
Job Description
The Channel Manager is required to promote sales growth by developing and enabling Mobile Video sales via Partners within North America. In this role, the Channel Manager maintains and expands relationships with channel partners to achieve Mobile Video sales objectives. The Channel Manager will create awareness of the Motorola Solutions Mobile Video products, VaaS solutions and services by leveraging their subject matter expertise and internal resources. The Channel Manager must have the ability to establish strong business relationships at all levels of the partner’s organization with the express desire of becoming their trusted business adviser for Mobile Video solutions.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Establish trust and build strong business relationships with Channel Partners offering Mobile Video solutions
- Drive targeted demand generation campaigns within the Channel Partner community
- Maintain alignment with current NA route-to-market structure
- Think strategically by analyzing territory / regional data and trends and other operating metrics.
- Demonstrates thought leadership by bringing new and innovative ideas forward that will continue to transform the Mobile Video go-to-market efforts
- Engage with the product team (quarterly) for new products, solutions or service offerings and coordinate appropriate training
- Responsible for Go-To Market Enablement Strategy which includes but is not limited to Partner training, webinars and demo kits
- Work closely with Sales Management & Marketing Operations to ensure seamless execution on promotions, lead management and hand-off activities
- Participates in territory / regional meetings and conference calls, as appropriate
- Responsible for the strategy and alignment with the post-sale and support services organizations for Partner generated mobile video opportunities
- Travel is required [50%+]
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of Public Safety Channel or Sales experience
- Proven record of achievement in delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skill is required and must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Exceptional presentation skills required
- Strong coaching skills required; experience in conflict management and situational leadership is a PLUS
- Skilled and proficient in Motorola Solutions’ sales programs, process flows, and enablement tools is a PLUS, not mandatory
- Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy, understanding of the SalesWay methodology is a PLUS, not mandatory
Basic Requirements

- 5+ years of Public Safety Channel or Sales experience
