MEP SALES MANAGER

Currently, our Global Tools & Storage Division is searching for a results-driven MEP Sales Manager to lead all phases of sales relationships with the contractor community across their stable brands within U.S. markets in Various Nationwide Locations.

Scope / Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the MEP Sales Manager position is responsible for working with our REP Agency partners in achieving sales targets across all businesses for the MEP Distribution assigned to this region. This role is responsible for understanding a broad range of product, users, applications, and distributor models. Brands represented, up to and including, DEWALT, PORTER CABLE, BOSTITCH, PROTO, POWERS FASTENERS

Employee Specifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Business Management or Engineering preferred); Master's Degree preferred. Relevant construction field experience could be a substitute for higher education.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience of selling the commercial industry
  • Agency business experience preferred
  • Experience in Sales for Industrial Goods
  • Experience working on Construction or End Client job sites
  • Must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization to drive strategy, influence owners and generate revenue.
  • Capability to meld empathy with a rock-hard determination to achieve outstanding results.
  • Skilled at building and aligning a team to the overall strategic plan
  • Ability to collaborate with the appropriate internal team members to resolve problems that arise with the end users in your region.
  • Track record of successful revenue and profit generation year after year
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and use of a smartphone
  • Ability to travel frequently and maintain valid driver's license
    • Up to 50% Local Travel
    • Up to 30% Overnight Travel
Scope of Responsibilities

Prospecting and Account Management
  • Management of assigned Agency business in our Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, (MEP) groups.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans by effectively utilizing Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, product service, marketing programs and targeted funds.
  • Regularly call on all Agency Partners and Key Customers in assigned area with daily travel requirements to distributors, customers, events, etc.
  • Achieve sales targets for Power Tools, Hand Tools, Pneumatics, Accessories, and Support Key Regional Chains.
  • Establish key relationships with Key Agency Partners, Distribution, and key end users.
Business & Financial Acumen
  • Leveraging field resources, conducting distributor and end user product training, outside sales "work-withs" and end user conversions.
  • Gain expertise on channel-specific pricing structures and programming
  • Communicate opportunities, issues, trends to management and marketing. Implement divisional goals.
  • Effectively manage T&E and MAP Budget.
Systems Proficiency
  • Ensuring proper and effective use of SalesForce.com to document work plans, visit logs, and customer master data accuracy.
  • Understanding and Knowledge of IT Business systems (BW) - Report Web (Tool Commerce)
