Overview
Manage a defined territory by cultivating business relationships with Mortgage Brokers, Community Banks, and Credit Unions which deliver loans through Wholesale Channels. Work with both external and internal groups to drive value to our business partners while exceeding their expectations. Act as a liaison to existing and prospective broker partners while helping to improve client performance using defined key performance metrics established by Senior Leadership. Be a very visible face in the broker community increasing awareness and interest of new broker client relationships via our internal sales and ops team members. Maintain an existing book of business with broker clients in the defined region by administering training, performance management according to key metrics, and profitable production growth.
Job Description

  • Markets PennyMac Broker Direct products and services to an assigned regional wholesale community
  • Makes formal and informal presentations to the broker wholesale community
  • Operates as a support contact during the sales and nurturing process for new business partners established through internal sales
  • Makes sales calls on prospective top producing brokers within the defined market as referred by inside sales or existing relationship
  • Manages customer relationships at a high level (quantity, quality, etc.)
  • Represents PennyMac in the local business and real estate community
  • Travel within the defined market territory and other locations as required for meetings
  • Represent PennyMac Broker Direct at various Trade Shows and Events to raise brand awareness and promote channel to new and existing clients
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Prior experience in Wholesale Channel sales
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of forward mortgage products and guidelines including conforming and government (FHA/VA/USDA)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in applying credit risk principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and sales skills with the ability to apply them both in person and by phone
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated competency in meeting customer service standards
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
