Overview
As the Manager, Sales - Large Customer Brand Partnership you will oversee a team of Sales Executives responsible for developing and growing the relationship with Instacart’s largest CPG Brand Partners. You will forge strong partnerships with CPG brand Leaders while also partnering with cross functional teams to align on advertiser priorities and deliver on targets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, can work in a fast-paced growing company, and has experience in ad sales leadership, ideally paid search marketing.
About the Job
- Business centric mindset and understanding of client goals for succeeding in a rapidly growing e-commerce space
- Coach, develop and mentor a team of Sales Executives
- Deliver on team sales goals
- Develop sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to CPG advertisers
- Develop and maintain relationships with advertisers and agencies
- Build executive level relationships and deploy scaled initiatives to ensure alignment across Instacart positioning and products
- Create data-backed proposals for up to multi-million dollar contracts for digital advertising
- Solutions oriented champion for Instacart inside these agencies in a competitive market
- Partner with account management, analytics, product and engineering teams to shape the future of our monetization products
About You
- 10 years experience, with 5 years Manager experience
- Search auction understanding and experience (required)
- Comfortable selling new/novel/untested customer engagement tools (required)
- Commercial/financial and data based thinker (required)
- Client relationship builder with executive presence (required)
- Understanding of CPG industry and budgets (required)
- Ability to stay calm in dynamic, rapidly-changing environments

- Client presence and persuasiveness
- Metrics orientation - can get up to speed on search/ad metrics quickly
- Client service orientation - fast follow ups, general sense of urgency
- Great storyteller when building decks
- Must be open to travel
