Disney Advertising Sales drives the advertising revenue across platforms for the entire media portfolio – including ABC, ESPN, Hulu, Freeform, FX, National Geographic, Disney Channels Worldwide, and more. The Sales Enablement teams’ missions is to provide unified client service experience with ease and automation to more effectively drive revenue.

The successful candidate will be expected to utilize assessment to advise on product strategy and prioritize platform investments. The scope includes, but is not limited to, current core platform functionality, representing internal and 3rd party sales order management and ad serving platforms, yield and inventory management and forecasting, ad targeting, scheduling, delivery and tracking, and campaign reporting and analysis. This position is based in Seattle, WA, New York NY, or Los Angeles, CA.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal partners to influence and develop the digital advertising product roadmap and consulting on core platform implications.
  • Plan and execute implementations with new teams, partners, and vendors. Design and implement new business processes within the toolset.
  • Collaborate with functional leadership across DAS & TWDC as appropriate to increase knowledge of various platform providers (e.g. ”User community”). Use insights to drive providers to develop and deploy functionality to improve TWDC’s overall investment in vendor platforms
  • Represent DAS with vendor partners providing core advertising platforms.
  • Develop and maintain our vendor relationships across the DAS advertising infrastructure technologies. Ensuring vendor accountability & delivery on new features and functionality.
  • Develop, design, track, test and report progress against plans for all technical components of the DAS advertising ecosystem, including requested improvements, customizations, integrations and/or vendor driven releases for Operative, Google Ad Manager, Mission Control/RIO and other internal/external solutions.
  • Oversee DAS ad system relationships across functional, regional, and company boundaries—including occasional travel to other operational locations as required
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the organization (senior management, functional leadership, staff, contacts in other TWDC segments) to achieve objectives on time, within budget and to specifications
  • Serve as a technical advisor to senior and functional management around alternative technologies, methodologies, and industry practices
  • Manage the prioritization, scope of work, objectives, quality of deliverables, and other vendor management activities of large, complex releases and/or multiple small releases, including cross platform implications, new technical solutions, service strategies, and continuous business process improvements from start to finish
  • Track progress/dependencies, communicate objectives/status, identify & escalate roadblocks, continuously assess risk factors, and recommend appropriate mitigation actions/strategies
  • Develop understanding of the existing system enhancements and use cases in order to effectively troubleshoot and debug issues.
  • Impact the business through effective delegation and accountability while also delivering results as a “sole contributor” where/when necessary to get the job done
  • Acquire, coach, train and develop qualified talent including virtual teams across functional, regional, and business unit boundaries as necessary to achieve objectives
  • Plan and execute implementations with new teams, partners, and vendors, including implementing new business processes within the toolset.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a product management, vendor management or planning role and 7+ years combined business and online digital experience
  • A solid understanding of Digital businesses and media markets/business models
  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising and related technologies; Operative, Google Ad Manager and/or Salesforce.com systems integration and/or implementation experience a plus
  • Prior experience integrating internal work and resources with outside vendors/partners
  • Proven track record of managing business needs against technology requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to take concepts from definition to development and launch
  • Experience with managing enterprise software, infrastructure services and/or software as a service offerings
  • Experience creating product roadmaps, MRDs, PRDs and written product evaluations
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and articulate the impact of emerging industry trends on the business
  • Experience working in a large enterprise, while also knowing how to be a very hands on manager and sole contributor
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and problem solving communication skills
  • Experience working with cross functional teams in matrix environment
  • Excellent relationship management and negotiating skills
  • Passion for understanding and serving the unique Disney community


Required Education

  • Degree in Business Management, Product Development, Computer Science or related field; MBA or equivalent a plus
