About the job
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Manager for inside sales to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will manage a team of associates who develop and carry out sales plans within the region. You'll train, evaluate, and coach team members to interact with potential customers via email, phone, and in person and gain an understanding of the business solutions that customers look for. As a Senior Manager, you will mentor your team and motivate them to promote Red Hat's solutions and services while ensuring that established metrics are met.
What you will do

  • Reach target sales goals and performance levels by effectively guiding your team
  • Forecast the business for your team on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Ensure that salesforce is accurate and update to date at all times
  • Motivate sales associates to promote Red Hat's offerings and solutions
  • Mentor, train, and coach associates on prospecting, sales methodology, operational excellence, and sales closing
  • Work closely and in conjunction with your regional managers to establish alignment with field expectations
  • Plan sales programs to achieve key business objectives
  • Frequently travel, several times a quarter, to quarterly business reviews (QBRs), sales functions, conferences, and other events, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
  • Establish the goals and objectives of your team, assign tasks, and review work
  • Participate in the closing of sales opportunities with sales representatives while serving as a mentor and coach


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of sales experience; basic management experience in a sales environment
  • Demonstrated success in consistently leading a sales team to achieve goals
  • Ability to frequently interact with cross-functional teams, customers, and peer managers
  • Experience coordinating activities for the team while being responsible for results, including costs, methods, and staffing
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear deliverables and lay out work in a well-planned and organized manner
  • Ability to set stretching objectives and distribute the workload appropriately
  • Understanding of Red Hat's vision and mission linked to direct application of methods and plans to accomplish sales targets
