Summary
The Manager, Inside Sales is responsible for managing and organizing a multi-channel inside sales team. The Manager, Inside Sales will lead both training and coaching of the sales teams as well as monitoring and reporting of sales metrics to drive efficiency and profitability. This position supports organizational growth by providing strategic client direction, building new and maintaining existing client relationships, as well as ensuring that client projects are implemented according to schedule.
The Manager will provide excellent client support by establishing focused key performance indicators and metrics, as well as accelerating growth via clear business objectives. This position will be integral for leading and partnering with other departments on special projects such as piloting new technologies within the inside sales teams in order to improve the overall customer experience. The Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a shared services platform to streamline current business and to support growth initiatives. This position will work closely with higher level management to drive initiatives and analysis to establish core management structure and long-term sales strategy.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:

  • Meet or exceed daily, monthly and quarterly KPI's for the Inside Sales & MetaDirect teams as outlined by the Sr. Director, Customer Experience
  • Maintain specified call quotas for special programs such as support for marketing and recruitment for Metagenics events while assisting the team to meet their goals as well
  • Establish clear short, medium- and long-term goals for respective inside sales teams, tracking and monitoring progress via a scorecard of metrics that accurately represents the sales drivers for each respective group
  • Work with the Sr. Director, Customer Experience and sales management to l ead the training activities of the team supporting education of relevant job role information regarding different medical specialties and share critical information with team members and the executive team
  • Collaborate with sales, support, marketing, and other teams on addressing issues which may be impeding customers' success with Metagenics products and expansion of use within an account
  • Partner with the Sales Directors and Customer Experience Leaders to help streamline internal processes to best support external customers.
  • Assist the outside sales representatives with the management and service of their accounts.
  • Follow up on requests or questions from accounts in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the Sr. Director, Customer Experience is aware of performance issues within the team and work with the team to find solutions for improvement.
  • Demonstrate consistent progress in increasing technical knowledge regarding Metagenics products.
  • Conduct educational presentations on Metagenics products for accounts via web ex or conference calls.
  • Be the main point of contact for marketing and sales leadership to troubleshoot issues for the Sales Teams.
  • Manage online and eCommerce sales to create new channels of revenue
  • Cultivate excellent cross-functional relationships for continued growth
  • Cultivate team building, cooperation, and retention by leadership example
  • Continually improve policies and processes to increase efficiency
  • Establish a core management structure and long term inside sales strategy to realize revenue goals
  • Responsible for appropriate staffing, comprehensive training, evaluations and progressive discipline of client services staff
  • Assess and develop progression plan for the inside sales teams
  • Attend company sponsored sales meetings and seminars as needed
  • Adhere to and ensure that the inside sales team adheres to all policies written in the Metagenics Handbook
  • Present solutions to business impacting client services issues to Sr. Management
  • Other projects as assigned


What you'll need:
Experience / Training / Education

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, and 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience developing, supporting, and driving eCommerce sales programs
  • Proven track record of identifying key business opportunities and integrating organizational performance
  • Extensive experience driving immediate revenue growth
  • Proven track record of spearheading strategic business development
  • Process and procedure development and improvement experience


Knowledge of

  • Metagenics products highly desirable
  • eCommerce and ERP systems
  • Internal processes and procedures for planning, inventory, accounts receivable, and collections
  • Customer service, distributors, and front-office procedures
  • Good communication skills with the ability to attract and retain quality employees
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of nutrition/health food industry a plus


Skills/Abilities

  • Vast strategic skill set including product bundling, vertical markets, brand management, E-commerce
  • Excellent planning and problem solving skills
  • Uses independent and decisive judgment in directing and managing staff activities
  • Good communications skills with ability to attract and retain quality employees
