About the role

FireHydrant is looking for a dynamic Manager of Business Development to lead and support a team of Business Development Representatives. The person in this role will lead, coach, and develop a team to deliver quality pipeline opportunities for the sales team.

The work you’ll do

  • Hire, manage, mentor and train a team of Business Development Representatives
  • Onboard new hires and teach them the FireHydrant BDR playbook
  • Consistently achieve against performance targets and KPIs
  • Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly attainment
  • Provide on-going training to the BDR Team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
  • Enable BDR Team members to improve their performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring weekly 1:1s
  • Provide the team with best practices and make recommendations to improve performance 
  • Partner closely with Growth Marketing to stay up-to-date on real time analytics, opportunities, and categorize leads and Content Marketing to ensure messaging is always relevant and current
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to streamline day to day operations for their teammates
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to iterate and improve opportunity management and qualification process
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to the Inbound - Marketing/Sales Service Level Agreement (SLA)

What we’re looking for

  • A proven track record of managing, training and growing BDRs to achieve results
  • Prior experience as a BDR, knowledge of best practices for prospecting, lead qualification, and nurturing leads
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Outreach are a must
  • Familiarity and experience in the developer tooling ecosystem

Compensation

FireHydrant believes that everyone should be compensated fairly and we strive for transparency within our organization and the industry. We set our salaries at the 75th percentile of pay for the San Francisco market using compensation data from hundreds of companies at our stage. Additionally, everyone in a given role is paid the same without adjusting for locality. The salary for this position is $152,000 base with variable compensation depending on leveling.
