The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving and developing new Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) business in Canada & the US East markets. The successful candidate will preferably have a strong automation sales background in several of the following industries:
• Chemicals
• Power and Energy
• Mining, Metals and Materials
• Oil & Gas, Midstream

Use your knowledge of customers, the industry and competition to identify and pursue opportunities for growth for Honeywell's Process Solutions business. You will contribute to the broader regional strategies to gain new customers in current markets and to identify ways to penetrate new markets. You will lead a team of Account Managers to develop a long-term roadmap in securing those new customers by building strategic customer relationships, partnering with the line of business and being involved in the complete sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Achieve regional sales targets and track opportunities from discovery to close.
• Effective communication of the company's value proposition with key decision-makers.
• Prospecting, evaluating opportunities, presenting our products, strong negotiation skills, cold calling, product selection, and supporting the customer's purchase to land new business.
• Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets.
• Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing.
• Formulate growth plans
• Build customer relationships
• Design value proposition
• Contribute to growth pipeline
• Coach & Manage team of Account Managers
• Customer negotiations
• Recommend Go-To-Market plan
• Collaborate in developing the sales forecast
• Drives metrics & reporting against strategic plan and measure success specifically for the BD region.
• Travel up to 50%

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor Degree
• 5+ years experience in business development in the identified industries: Chemicals, Power and Energy, Mining, Metals and Materials, Oil & Gas, Midstream
• 3+ years people management experience

• Demonstrated analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
• Proven effectiveness working across multiple geographies
• MBA or Advanced Business Degree is preferred
• Prior leadership role with management of distributed teams
• Builds strong business relationships
• Cross functional career path within production, supply chain, regulatory departments is valuable
• Highly organized, strong project management and follow-through skills
• Executive presence and credibility, including having a strong partner financial acumen
• Excellent intellectual and analytical skills - ability to structure problem statements and be the catalyst for uncovering new and creative ways to solve problems. Prior business development or strategy & planning experiences are a plus.
• Proven ability to work closely with and advise senior executives (VP+)
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and push the envelope on new ideas to transform our business
