The Prologis Essentials Smart Building team is currently hiring an IT Sales Executive who will be responsible for selling a variety of IT services and solutions to our warehouse customers. This includes networks, barcode technology, security solutions, installation and managed services as well as advanced solutions such as robotics, IoT, and spatial intelligence.

We are seeking a creative and collaborative team-member to partner closely with our internal colleagues in real estate as well as other Essentials Sales Executives. You will be an expert in maintaining great customer relationships and contributing to the continuous improvement of Prologis Essentials Smart Building. As an IT Sales Executive, you will consistently engage in the following:

  • You will be responsible for creating a sales pipeline that enables you to exceed targeted sales quotas, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within an assigned territory.

  • Become a trusted advisor with key decision makers and decision influencers. This is a solution selling role. You will be very consultative with the customer to create a multi-product solution. We do not sell part numbers.

  • Communicate strong value propositions, create and deliver professional proposals, adapt to customer requirements and improve customer success.

What’s needed in order to do that:

  • Responsible for new account acquisition and the continual growth of those accounts. 75% of your focus will be closing deals with new customers.

  • Identify prospects and initiate a conversation, generally with a CIO, CEO, President, Owner, IT Manager, Warehouse Manager, or other key decision makers.

  • It is your responsibility to analyze the customer’s business goals, objectives, needs and general warehouse environment to create the correct combination of solutions.

  • Conduct sales presentations on the benefits of Prologis Essentials Smart Building solutions. Describe benefits in terms of financial justification, ROI, as well as improvements in performance and uptime.

  • Able to explain technical solutions to both an IT audience and a very non-technical audience.

  • Work with our vendors for pre-sales support and quotes, then create the proposal for the customer. (template based)

  • Proven ability to work around customer objections and close a high percentage of opportunities.

  • Remain involved during the installation phase. Other people manage the installation, but you are the customer advocate. Make sure they are happy and completely satisfied with the project.

  • Work with other Sales Executives to participate in all cross-selling opportunities and to maximize selling potential within the customer.

  • Ability to contribute to the development and execution of campaigns and programs designed to drive leads and pipeline.

Tell us if you’re ready.

  • 5 or more years of technology outside sales experience.

  • Prior experience selling networks, mobile computers, label printers, security cameras, and other typical VAR products. Example OEM’s include Cisco and Zebra.

  • Prior experience selling installation services and ongoing managed services. MSP, NaaS, and HaaS should be familiar to you. We sell solutions, not a box.

  • An understanding of logistics, distribution, and fulfillment operations, and how they use technology is a plus.

  • Previous experience working for an AIDC VAR, Network Solutions company, or OEM in the IT space is a plus.

  • Experience selling to both SMB and Enterprise customers. Understand the difference in approach.

  • Ability to quickly ramp-up on new and unfamiliar technologies and solutions.

  • Proven history of consistently exceeding Revenue & Margin targets.

  • Bachelor’s Degree desired.

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Hiring Salary Range of: $95,000 - $115,000. Salary and whole compensation package (commission target) to be determined by the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
