The role:
The SoFi Inside Sales Specialist plays a vital role in building the relationship with our current and potential SoFI members. SoFi’s Sales Team fields inbound potential member inquiries as well as outbound communication to those who have shown an interest in learning more about our great company. All communications will be with warm to hot leads or with current members, no cold calling.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing best in class service by responding to Inbound inquiries concerning our various products and services, or any other general inquiries while helping potential members understand the features and benefits of SoFi membership. Additionally, when available and as needed, the SoFi Inside Sales Specialist will support other Customer Service Representative teams.
The SoFi Inside Sales Specialist will provide a significant contribution to new product sales and gain exposure to all levels and all functions within the company.
What you’ll do:
- Respond to applicant’s inbound inquiries via phone regarding SoFi Products
- Exercise consultative sales techniques demonstrating strong call control
- Provide world-class customer service through First Call Resolution
- Document every correspondence with applicants and borrowers clearly and concisely
- Request and secure required documentation according to documented company procedures
- Participate in outbound Marketing Campaigns
- Identifies cross-selling opportunities with current members and presents additional products and services that would fill a need
- Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable information to SoFi Teams as appropriate
- Improve upon and refine sales and customer service knowledge and techniques through ongoing training
- Strong ability to overcome objections, clearly describe SoFi membership and product benefits and features, and be genuinely empathetic in all conversations
- Take ownership of resolving general inquiries and converting general interest into action.
- Share insights with management regarding the root causes of objections or inquiries while assisting in defining the SoFi sales process.
- This is a non-commissioned based role
What you’ll need:
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic
- 1 year of previous sales or customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships with SoFi applicants, members, and teams
- Intermediate computer skills with solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Databases, and Web.
- Ability to exhibit grace under pressure, while successfully navigating complex work assignments/situations efficiently, and effectively
- Ability to meet critical deadlines in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Self-motivated, resourceful, productive on teams as well as independent work
- Able to move between projects/duties quickly and efficiently with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and potential overtime
- Experience handling high volume transactions
- Track record of successful high impact decision making
- Enthusiasm for SoFi and our mission
- College degree desired/High school diploma or GED required
