We are seeking a full-time Inside Sales Representative for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with assigned accounts to promote the Garmin brand and increase market share.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time Inside Sales Representative for our headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with assigned accounts to promote the Garmin brand and increase market share. Other responsibilities include outbound sales calls, order processing and customer service for assigned dealer accounts to increase sales and maximize service. Other essential functions include:

  • Establish, develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with key business partners and dealers
  • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager(s) and Regional Training Specialist(s) in the development and execution of strategies designed to increase market share and profit with existing accounts
  • Develop territory and manage accounts through outbound sales calls (including cold calls), internal tracking and coordination in a team environment with RSM(s) and RTS(s).
  • Recommend the sale of additional product offerings and merchandise to dealers in order to expand the Garmin brand presence within the retail store and online environments
  • Meet sales goals and objectives set by Garmin management
  • Educate dealers on products, promotions, and Dealer Resource Center
  • Answer and handle customer phone calls, faxes and emails to ensure customer requests are processed
  • Accurately enter orders into Oracle, verifying that customer purchase orders match Oracle orders & communicate any variances to customer
  • Inform customer of unit prices, shipping date, inventory availability, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates, run open orders report as requested
  • Process and follow up with customer requests, inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
  • Communicate with Order Analyst, Production, Sales, Shipping, Warehouse and any other personnel needed to assist in the processing of the customer orders and inquiries
  • Follow up on miss-shipped orders and damaged orders and complete shipping discrepancy form
  • Issue Return Material Authorizations and credit memo's when applicable
  • Compile statistics and prepare various reports for management as requested
  • Maintain open and honest communication with department leadership
  • Attend meetings, tradeshows and training sessions as required


Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience performing a customer service or inside sales role. Other qualifications include:

  • Must demonstrate proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess a proven track record in meeting established goals
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Must be self motivated and energetic
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Must possess a willingness and ability to travel when needed

Desirable qualifications include:

  • 2 years of Garmin experience
  • Possess a demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Garmin's product line (desired)
  • Full knowledgeable in all aspects of order entry system with a thorough understanding of Oracle management
  • Order administration and sales experience in a business to business environment
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual in Spanish, French, Portuguese
