Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position is based at our Houston, TX location.

Position Overview:

Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Business manufactures over 100,000 products for NEC and IEC applications, including: conduit fittings and cable glands, industrial control and electrical apparatus, enclosures, industrial luminaires (including LED), plugs and receptacles, drilling and marine products, commercial construction and solar solutions.

In this function you will:

  • Assist the sales representative on quotations to customers
  • Receive incoming telephone calls regarding technical help, product application, where to find material, and standard terms and conditions pertaining to the sale of the products
  • Evaluate all calls and develop sales leads for the outside sales representative
  • Create a demand, by use of the telephone, for Eaton Crouse-Hinds Products with potential on accounts classified as industrial, electrical contractor, constructor, architect/engineer and government
  • Maintain adequate records to control selling activities and to ensure proper care of all Eaton Crouse-Hinds property assigned
  • Be familiar with competitor's products and prices and continuously increase knowledge of Eaton Crouse-Hinds products and their application advantages to customer needs
  • Perform cross reference requests to support conversions from competitive product
  • Collaborate with various departments to support both pre-sale and post-sale activities in order to drive customer satisfaction (pricing, customer service, operations, compliance, logistics, quality, product line management, engineering, finance, & the warehouse team)
  • Preform various order management related functions where required (urgent shipping requests, expedite requests, return requests and order cancellations)
  • Help maintain record keeping and reporting of weekly sales for district managers (Eaton SharePoint)
  • Facilitate training opportunities for new team members within the sales organization - both internal reps and agents
  • Support sales analytics and reporting though the use of QlikView/SAP

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year of customer-interfacing experience
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Houston, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Marketing from an accredited institution
  • Quoting experience
  • SAP experience
