Position Summary:

Are you passionate about Cybersecurity? Do you have a technical background want to help customers with their security posturing? We are looking for someone who is naturally curious - someone who wants to share their knowledge and experiences with our potential and existing customers to figure out which security solution is the best fit for their organization.

You will be instrumental in helping grow the business by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers online and by performing remote presentations/calls. This role does not require overnight coverage or being on call during the weekend. You are not the salesperson; you are the one who gets to have fun and "geek out" with other IT professionals like yourself while helping them with their challenges. You would be a key ingredient to the success of the sales team and organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide Proof of Concepts (POCs) to potential customers and help clients with planning and implementation of Trend Micro products
  • Provide detailed technical product knowledge/recommendations and demonstrations of our security software products, in the pre-sales context working in collaboration with our sales teams
  • Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta Trend Micro products
  • Provide product training and mentoring when required
  • Participate in alliance projects, including building vendor and customer relationships
  • Travel occasionally for training/workshops/events (i.e AWS re:Invent)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on networking, admin, and additional IT experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients including administrators and C-level executives
  • Solid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
  • Be team oriented with desire to learn new tools and technologies
  • Moderate coaching and mentoring skills are essential
  • Previous technical/product sales is a plus

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with various Microsoft software and systems including Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and IIS.
  • Familiarity with AWS &/or Azure is a plus regarding setup and configuration of common services. You will need to be able to talk about what it was like to move to/operate in the cloud and your experiences and lessons learned.
  • Familiarity with DevOps related technologies regarding Infrastructure as Code and Automation. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and other DevOps technology and hands on experience is a plus.

One or more of the certifications or training below are desired, but not required:

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Azure Fundamentals
  • VCP - VMware Certified Professional
  • MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional
  • Linux/Solaris/UNIX System Administration
