Inside Sales Account Representative

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will partner with field sales professionals to uncover new sales opportunities within an assigned territory. You'll identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track customer data. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve both Red Hat and our customers.
What you will do
- Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions
- Provide sales support to three to four field sales professionals
- Manage forecasts, close deals, and track customer data using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Grow existing business relationships and acquire new business
- Meet your assigned sales quota
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline
- 2+ years of successful quota carrying sales experience
- 2+ years of solutions sales experience in software or high-tech offerings and services Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
- Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and application server marketplaces
- Familiarity with the open source industry and principles is a plus
