Inside Sales Account Representative
About the job
The Red Hat North America Public Sector (NAPS) Sales team is looking for an Inside Sales Account Representative with experience selling high-tech offerings and services to join us in Tysons Corner, VA. In this role, you will build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within an assigned territory or industry, focusing on the public sector. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the sale, including price negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-growth environment with partner sales and services teams and IT and business executives to develop and carry out strategic sales plans.
What you will do
- Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions within your assigned territory
- Provide sales support to 2 to 3 field sales professionals
- Manage forecasts, close deals, and track customer data using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
- Grow existing business relationships and acquire new business
- Meet assigned sales quotas
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline
- 3+ years of successful quota carrying sales experience
- 3+ years of solutions sales experience in software or high-tech offerings and services
- Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
- Experience selling in a direct and partner model
- Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and application server marketplaces
- Exceptional background in quota attainment
- Experience working in government or public sector sales is a plus
