ABOUT THE TEAM

The Sales team identifies top producing real estate agents and teams to educate and evangelize a truly better way to live and work. We get very busy people to pause, listen, and make time to understand the difference between thinking like a top agent vs acting like a business owner. There is power in ownership, freedom in ownership, and exponential wealth in ownership. It is our mission, and quite frankly, our obligation, to bring a new and improved brokerage solution to both the best agents and the consumers who rely on their guidance and expertise. Our team of highly skilled sales professionals operates in a performance-driven culture that embraces change and values urgency. We leverage hard work (high activity) as well as smart work (industry experience) to get the job done. We started in California and are now expanding to other states, thus we are looking to add additional sales engineering resources to support expansion into new markets.


ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Industry Principal, you’ll be doing meaningful work, in a highly visible, key critical role on the sales team at Side. You’ll combine your residential real estate background, technical aptitude, exceptional communication and creative problem-solving skills to lead the technical discussion with our strategic prospects. Given your real estate background, you’ll identify and relate to prospect pain points and use that knowledge and empathy to share our industry-leading solution in a compelling manner. Your focus will center around learning everything there is to know about the Side platform to become the subject matter expert on the pre-sales team. You will align with our Sales Ambassadors to understand the profile of our strategic prospects, then deliver high-quality, in-person presentations highlighting Side’s core value propositions, overcome objections as necessary, and tailor the right solution for each prospect. Additionally, you’ll ensure the specific prospect solution is documented and communicated to the post-sales team to ensure a successful implementation and business launch.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Live Presentations: You will work closely with Sales to understand the Strategic prospect profile and what their needs and wants are, then tailor and deliver a compelling in-person sales presentation that unequivocally demonstrates how partnering with Side will enable them to achieve their business goals
  • SME: Thoroughly comprehend the intricacies of Side’s current product suite, including our proprietary technology application, and product roadmap in order to fluently highlight the growing benefits of the Side offering during sales presentations
  • Teamwork: Partner with a team of high-performing Sales Engineers & Sales Leaders to refine processes & playbooks to help increase team effectiveness & presentation conversion rates.
  • Communication: You will document the specific prospect needs in SFDC and the Side solution that you recommend, then communicate that information to the post sales team to ensure successful implementation and launch
  • Efficiency: Seek opportunities to help us work smarter via new/refined tools and processes and contribute to the continued growth and success of the team
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally by partnering with Sales, Creative, Marketing, Product and Brokerage to learn, contribute to our knowledge base and build best in class presentations
  • Maintain a high bar of excellence for yourself and the team, while working with a high degree of autonomy

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?

  • Min 10 years of demonstrable success in pre-sales or consultative customer-facing roles 
  • Previous blend of experience in pre-sales or consultative customer-facing roles such as an executive in residential real estate, consulting, and/or business development for a B2B SaaS company or real estate brokerage
  • Meaningful experience successfully delivering compelling presentations, illustrating clear value propositions in a pre-sales environment
  • Exquisite written and oral communication, presentation and follow through skills
  • Strong initiator who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous, startup environment, requiring superior skills in organization, influencing, and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Very comfortable with business-related travel 50-60% of the time - usually day trips within your home state to meet prospective clients
  • Passionate about evangelizing a definitively better, real estate industry
  • Real estate industry experience either as an agent, working in a brokerage as staff, or other industry vendor is required
  • Experience with residential real estate tools & terminology required
  • Leadership experience either as a people manager, a team lead, a consultant, a coach, or a trainer, responsible for the success of others is highly desirable
  • Proficient experience with Salesforce or other CRM desired
