About the job
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an Incremental Sales Account Representative to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will uncover new sales opportunities within an assigned territory, working as part of an energetic team. You will identify, nurture, and close opportunities with new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, track customer data, and work with Red Hat's renewal partners. You will engage with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve Red Hat and our customers. As an Incremental Sales Account Representative, you will have access to training and certification programs that will help you maintain an expert knowledge and proficiency in our offerings and industry trends.
What you will do

  • Sell Red Hat's comprehensive enterprise solutions
  • Manage forecasts, close deals, and track customer data using company-standard customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Be accountable for growing existing business relationships and acquiring new business
  • Meet assigned sales quotas, both on your own and as part of a team


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
  • 2+ years of solutions sales experience with software or high-technology offerings or services
  • Experience using customer relations management (CRM) tools like Salesforce.com (SFDC)
  • Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows, virtualization, storage, and middleware solutions
  • Motivated with the ability to identify new customers and opportunities; team-focused
