Job summary
Promote sharing and adoption of the Red Hat's cloud platform solutions and application development in the telecom, media, and entertainment industries. The Red Hat Telco, Media, and Entertainment (TME) Sales team is looking for a Hybrid Cloud Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will support Red Hat's strategy by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation cloud platform, application modernization, DevOps, and IT infrastructure strategies. You'll build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote our portfolio of cloud platform solutions, including hybrid cloud and cloud-native application development, container and orchestration management, infrastructure virtualization, and data storage on-site or in the cloud. As a Hybrid Cloud Sales Specialist, you'll need to have experience selling solutions within telecom, media, or entertainment accounts. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with the TME Sales teams to plan the overall hybrid cloud and application modernization strategies within a set of defined TME accounts
  • Guide the customers from their initial adoption of basic application server and hybrid cloud technologies and grow the account to include Red Hat cloud portfolio, rules engines, business process management (BPM) platforms, enterprise service buses (ESBs), enterprise messaging, portals, etc.
  • Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts, creating long-term partnerships
  • Work with enterprise sales teams to ensure that Red Hat's cloud infrastructure and application services and related solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers
  • Create and sustain strategic customer relationships
  • Develop and close sustainable revenue across technologies
  • Guide the extended Sales team to maximize revenue growth
  • Accurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals


Required skills

  • 8+ years of experience working in a solutions sales role or a business development role
  • 4+ years of experience focused on cloud infrastructure or enterprise middleware solutions like Red Hat Application Services, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, MuleSoft, or TIBCO
  • Experience within the telecommunications operations space, having worked closely with these customers
  • Background in consultative selling and customer engagement
  • Broad technical experience with telecom, media, and entertainment technologies
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large firms
  • Ability to sell solutions in a multi-offering environment
  • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
  • Balance of strategic and tactical skills
  • Master's degree or equivalent is a plus
