About the job
The Global Partner Ecosystem Team team is looking for a Global Market Development Funds (MDF) Business Manager to join us. In this role, you will assist with the budget planning and management for Red Hat MDF. You will work closely with various stakeholders in the Partner Channel in Marketing to analyze, advise, plan, and manage marketing budgets, enabling stakeholders to maintain forecast accuracy and effectively allocate resources. As the Global MDF Business Manager, you will also manage the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely delivery of budget targets.
What you will do
  • Be responsible for MDF marketing budget and forecast accuracy in close partnership with the Finance team
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year closing by ensuring all expenses and provisions are managed properly within Allocadia
  • Advise and assist budget stakeholders with monthly and quarterly budget delivery
  • Regularly track forecasts against actuals and committed spend
  • Work with stakeholders on a regular cadence to keep budgets within forecast
  • Enter and update forecasts in budget tracking tools
  • Work closely with the Finance team to help the various regional and route-to-market funding recipients resolve the day-to-day accounting and purchase requisition-related issues
  • Identify opportunities to optimize budget across different teams
  • Manage and deliver on purchasing processes, including purchase orders (POs), statements of work (SOWs), invoicing, and receiving
  • Manage vendor relationships

What you will bring
  • Proficiency in accounting or business finance
  • 2+ years of business-to-business program marketing experience, preferably in the marketing budget administration and procurement for technology firms
  • Practical experience using spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of budget management tools like Allocadia and procurement management modules in any enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
  • Understanding of a multi-tiered sales environment
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment
