About the job
The Red Hat Global Sales Operations and Enablement team is looking for a Global Deal Process Manager to join us. In this role, you will play a leading role in managing our deal process excellence initiative, including standardizing and optimizing deal desk processes, along with influencing deal processes across the entire organization. You'll need to be a strategic thinker and also a promoter of efficiency and performance improvement across numerous functions with multiple operational, financial, and sales metrics. The preferred location for this role is Raleigh, NC, but well-qualified candidates in other locations may also be considered. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Increase deal process excellence in the regional Deal Desk, Legal, and Revenue teams
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to align regional teams on deal process standardization, including metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work with subject matter experts and enablement teams to support the development of training materials and implementation plans for key process improvements
  • Create and maintain global deal desk dashboards, facilitating cross-regional alignment and visibility into programs and performance alike
  • Focus efforts on process improvements, including automation, touch-point elimination, and cycle time reduction; roll out improvements uniformly across all regions
  • Create and maintain deal playbooks to document best practices and deal construction use cases that all deal desk associates will be able to use globally
  • Steer the deal analytics program, prioritizing the data science resources
  • Oversee content development and governance of all deal-related process documents and workflows
  • Assist in enablement and training for deal processes across the Sales and Operations teams
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders from the Business, Sales, Services, Finance, and Legal teams as needed in relation to deal processes


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience working in deal desk, revenue accounting, or legal functions involved in deal approvals or deal processes
  • Deep knowledge of the market including key players, market trends, and customer requirements
  • Knowledge of cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) markets and consumption models
  • General understanding of open source software innovation and business models
  • Proven record of success in a fast-moving, technical environment, including a proven ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to all levels of an organization
  • Success in working in an persuasion-driven cross-functional environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once while working in a highly complex environment
  • Proactive and motivated with a solid work ethic
  • Willingness to travel, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
  • Metrics-focused and detail-oriented
