The Executive Director, Sales Enablement will ensure that the entire sales organization has the training, content, processes, practices, and tools needed to optimize effectiveness and efficiency throughout the sales cycle. This includes working collaboratively with sales leadership, product enablement, marketing, and other key partners to determine needs and effectively communicate and provide assets that will increase sales efficiency and results.
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales Operations and Enablement and will lead the continuous learning programs, career mapping, the creation of sales assets, launch a sales mentor program, and sales communications. This role will also collaborate with other divisions, in order to improve both the customer experience and internal operations.
The best candidate for this role is a proven strategist that can take visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and then successfully implement those plans. The Executive Director, Sales Enablement will develop customer-centric teams, have a strong sense of detail and possess the ability to work within and across diverse teams.

Responsibilities of the Executive Director, Sales Enablement:

  • Business owner for sales enablement function, including the mission championing and all budgeting responsibilities
  • Develops and leads continuous development activities for the Sales team, both sellers and non-sellers
  • Leads the development of the sales mentorship program and refinement of sales career maps.
  • Identifies sales training needs for the organization, directs the build of sales training curriculum and programs, coordinates and manages sales training sessions (onsite and virtually), and assesses and provides transparency of the efficiency of content and the training delivered.
  • Enablement owner for sales systems, working alongside the business and technical owners, to plan and implement effective initial implementations and ongoing training efforts
  • Manage content and delivery of recurring sales team communications, working with key collaborators in other departments to gather important updates to be shared with the team
  • Acts as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Product Enablement, Professional Services, and Customer and Business Operations teams
  • Leads and collaborates with essential team members to develop the framework, content plan, and budget for bi-annual all-team meetings
  • Additional related projects to be assigned as needed


Basic Qualifications of the Executive Director, Sales Enablement:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • 3+ years of work experience in a selling/sales role
  • 3+ years of demonstrated leadership and project management experience
  • 3+ years of experience providing customer service
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite experience


Preferred Qualifications of the Executive Director, Sales Enablement:

  • MS in Education, Business, Sales Management, or related field
  • 5+ years CRM or Salesforce.com experience, Salesforce advanced training preferred
  • 5+ years experience in the K-12 education space
  • 5+ years of work experience in a selling/sales role
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively within and across team environments
  • Experience developing, implementing and tracking program efficiency, including training initiatives (new hire and continued education)
  • Interest in improving industry and product knowledge through self-study, training, and experience
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Some travel required (about 15-25%)
