Mainstay is seeking an entrepreneurial and results oriented Account Executive with a proven track record of achievement in consultative SaaS selling. 

You will create and own business pipeline strategy and execution within your assigned territory. As someone who loves to create client wins and is motivated by the cross functional potential of working within a larger team and organization you help us all succeed. You will report directly to the SVP of Sales.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a defined sales territory and consistently meet and exceed quarterly goals through: 
    • Defining and executing on pipeline and sales outreach strategy
    • Utilizing consultative listening skills to understand stakeholder needs, roles and institutional buying processes
    • Clearly present Mainstay’s value proposition tailored to each client’s needs 
    • Deepening partnering with prospective clients to deliver solutions that solve complex problems in an environment with multiple stakeholders 
    • Utilize curiosity to ask questions and listen effectively to deliver solutions that create stakeholder value
  • Be a partner in building our Company Brand 
    • Participate in industry networking events such as conferences, on-site campus visits, group presentations and other industry functions as needed and when travel is safe and permitted 
    • Actively seek continuous learning opportunities to become a product and industry expert
    • Identify and report industry trends to Product Owners and Executive Teams to inform Mainstay roadmap and ongoing client success  
  • Utilize our CRM to both manage and document sales activity for accurate forecasting and to effectively prioritize client engagement and deliver excellent client experiences

What You Have

  • A growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning.  
  • 6+ years of previous software sales, SaaS and/or enterprise sales experience with a preference on direct experience selling to Higher Ed Institutions

The minimum pay for this role is $130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years & depth of experience, and some role dependent factors that can include certifications and software expertise.
