Your Role and Responsibilities
The Ecosystem Software Sales Programs and Incentives Leader is responsible for the following:

  • Drive incremental revenue as an innovation leader advising, designing, submitting, securing approval and tracking short term incentives and promotions designed to drive incremental revenue
  • Program manager for selected global incentive and promotion programs (e.g., Eco Ascent)
  • Represent Global Ecosystem Sales and brand perspectives on review committee to decide on next quarter/next half incentives and promotions
  • Lead Ecosystem aspect for Annuity matters such as IULAs, NTE, RTM changes
  • Lead effort to transition Primary Support Provider and Flexible Contract Terms Support Providing Partner programs into Passport Advantage, including managing contract transition, partner notifications, enablement and relationships during first transition year
  • Create and track Documents of Understanding, Inter-Company Agreements and other written agreements with supporting organizations
  • Manage Global Ecosystem Sales internal team expense budget
  • Act as back-up for Partner Program Activation Leader:
    • Act as primary focal point between IBM Units (brands) and BP Ecosystem Team regarding data infrastructure and incentives and for product launch and to resolve WW escalations (examples: Controller escalation).
    • Analyze, recommend implementation approach, coordinate, educate and communicate updates to data infrastructure to support BP Resell Incentive Stack. (examples: OEM Project, Growth v Foundation implementation, creating new Deal Reg Groups, updates to Participation Groups, Tradeup Updates)
    • Primary Focal point for implementation strategy/communication around Focus Offering Incentive.
    • Drive Promotions and Incentive changes through Global Program Management as required. Assist (or develop on behalf of) Geo/Brand teams -- supporting presentations, implementation designs and plans, financial justification and internal/external BP communications working with approval teams.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years of cumulative experience in at least two of these IBM roles: direct sales, ecosystem sales, ecosystems program management, digital sales, business partner sales, ecosystem sales execution
  • Solid track record in relationship and business management, developing and maximizing new business strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, as well as influencing skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus despite conflicting demands
  • Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and display commitment and work ethic across different countries and cultures


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Multi-year record of success in meeting or exceeding quota in sales or meeting or exceeding project management goals and deadlines
  • Success managing complex projects involving business partners, developing campaigns, strategies, and solutions that have generated revenue growth
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative strategies as project manager
  • 1+ year in a technical role, demonstrating the ability to grasp and communicate product use in client environments
