Position Overview:
The Director, Strategic Partner Development is responsible for recruiting, developing, and growing strategic partnerships.
Location: Remote
Reports To: VP, Head of Channels & Alliances
Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and develop strategic partnerships across all partnership dimensions, but primarily focused on new sales growth
  • Build strong relationships with executive partner contacts, as well as with Paylocity sales leadership
  • Negotiate complex contracts
  • Develop and execute business plans, as well as conduct quarterly business reviews with all named strategic partners
  • Identify, develop, and execute joint go-to-market opportunities
  • Develop a team of channel managers with responsibility for recruiting, developing, and activating sales, as well as product and service integration, with named strategic partners
  • Develop a scorecard to drive partnership performance and achieve new revenue targets
  • Coordinate with other business functions to ensure unified support and engagement of strategic partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent
  • 10+ years of channel partnership experience or equivalent, ideally in HCM, employee benefits, retirement, or similar markets
  • Be willing to travel up to 50%
  • Experienced in the management and support of large, complex partners

Preferred Skills:

  • Masters preferred

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, time management, and organizational skills
  • Openness and ability to be coached, passion for winning, persistence, and determination
  • Strong drive to achieve results with minimal supervision

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $160,000 - $243,976 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
