Job Description

Talend is seeking a Strategic and Federal Solution Engineers Director for the nationwide US. Talend’s portfolio of products has expanded from Data Ingestion, Data Integration to include Data Quality (DQ), BigData (BD), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) along with a Cloud first strategy. 

Reporting to the VP Global Solutions Engineering, the Strategic and Federal Solution Engineers Director will coach and mentor the team through our sales cycles and help to to secure the “technical win” status.

This role will also be extended to evangelization of our corporate/core messages, our Market strategy and our Portfolio promotion. It includes managing several direct reports; collaborate with Managers of Sales; contributing in Business and/or Technical Blogs, participating and promoting Talend in Tradeshows.

The management side of this position will cover interviews in order to hire, onboard the new employees and support their growth in their personal career and success at Talend.

Responsibilities include:

Overall, we are looking for motivated candidates focused on acquiring new business and capable of supporting key job role functions such as:

· identifying business issues and relating them to Talend capabilities

· articulating Talend’s value proposition and differentiation at all levels within prospect organizations

· engaging in and responding to RFI/RFP procurement processes

· constant qualification of opportunities 

· building and delivery of comprehensive customized demonstrations

· management and successful delivery of Proof of Concepts (POC)

· demonstrating success at working both independently and as a valued team player within the extended sales and management team

· Evangelization: writing blogs, pitching at Tradeshows, deliver Product Roadmap, bringing feedback to Product Marketing management

· Collaboration across teams including Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Professional Services and R&D, Customer Success Management

· Being part of our Cloud and BigData tiger team (high velocity architecture and sales team with executive support).

Key skills:

Significant and current experience of two or more of the following disciplines: 

· Management position(s) from past experience.

· Data Integration (ETL) experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence

· Data Quality experience

· demonstrate the ability to manage a high number of concurrent, active prospects

· excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
