Director, Solution Specialist - Analytic Sales

ABOUT THIS JOB
Solution Specialists play a strategically important role for NielsenIQ’s Analytic Sales Team as a key resource during high-value sales campaigns. You will work in conjunction with sales associates to sell solutions within the functional areas of the Analytics Team including Assortment & Space Optimization, Revenue Management Optimization and Route to Market.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Set clear goals that create impact and drive results, hold individuals accountable to deliver against these goals
Clearly and convincingly articulate Analytic offerings and value proposition and overcome any resistance from prospective clients
Ability to understand/explain the value of NielsenIQ’s approach (versus other companies)
Develop custom demo sequences depending on the sales cycle stage and client need
Demonstrate the NIQ solution to clients in a live environment
Create sample analyses using concrete business benefits
Laise between sales, product management, solution architecture and operations on the scope and style of demos, proof of concept (POC) sessions, immersion days and proposed implementation engagements
Manage hands on POC meetings with client teams
Contribute to writing and customizing proposals and presentations that clearly communicate why the solution is right for specific clients based on their business needs
Provide oversight of two direct reports, managing work-load, prioritizing and allocating resources as required
Provide direction to team to devise recommendations, coach team members in the development of analytic skills and demos
Lead the professional development of junior level associates by modeling NIQ leadership traits, provide formal training, development opportunities and timely/regular feedback ensuring deep bench strength and successors

You are a talented and competitive marketing and sales professional that thrives in a quick sales cycle environment. You play an important role in helping us achieve our ambitious revenue growth objectives, you are comfortable in creating connections over technologies. You must be comfortable “running the show” in front of any size, level or function of the audience. You must be both effective and entertaining, driving home key points when required to and participating in friendly banter when promoted. You must be resourceful, calm and quick thinking when something goes wrong to minimize contention and distraction. Ideal candidate will have CPG experience, and experience working with revenue management and/or assortment solution.
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years’ experience in a relevant industry (CPG, consulting, sales)
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Proven leadership skills
Positive attitude - glass is always half full
Willingness to travel to remote client locations (25%/30% depending on needs)
Enjoy ambiguity and complex business challenges
Positive team member through all stages of sales cycle
Aggressive self-starter, able to quickly adapt to changing environments
Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus
