The Sales Operations Team:

The Sales Operations team  is responsible for supporting and enabling the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization by providing strategic direction and reducing friction in the sales process. The team develops close relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization’s efficient operation and success as JW Player continues to scale its world-class sales organization.

The Opportunity:

JW Player is hiring a Director of Sales Operations who is looking to make a positive impact to help maximize our revenue growth through development, implementation and optimization of sales processes, systems/tools and initiatives. This is an opportunity to partner closely with our Sales team driving sales operations and taking JW Player to the next level of growth!  

As a Director of Sales Operations, you will:

  • Act as the Project Manager of the SMS organization, managing complex projects where the scope requires coordinating multiple teams, requirements and stakeholders
  • Ensure complex project requirements are collected, documented and signed off by stakeholders
  • Operations Function:
    • Own and manage the ops dev sprints to ensure priorities are addressed
    • Own the overall implementation scope and timeline of Gainsight
    • Evaluate and manage all Ops change requests
  • Execution and implementation of all Sales Operational activities, to include: sales process, pipeline management, reporting, analytics, KPI’s, sales enablement training, sales resources & tools
  • Partner with the Chief Operating Officer to project manage and operationalize the sales forecasting process
  • Coordinate the revenue planning processes used within the sales organization.
    • Drive the Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for the Sales and Customer Success teams
    • Supports the equitable assignment of quotas and ensures quotas are allocated optimally to all sales territories and resources by aligning existing and prospective accounts by geography, account type, and market segment, coordinating with all internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate, develop and maintain cross department infrastructure of internal tools for revenue organization
    • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency across the sales organization's efforts ensuring that all sales order data is clean and accurate by collaborating with finance
    • Ensure productivity and effectiveness for the Salesforce through optimized systems, workflows, reporting, and policies
    • Manage Partner Communities within Salesforce
    • Manage ServiceCloud

Requirements of the role:

  • B.S. in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years in working experience in the sales operations function of a business in a fast-paced and highly competitive environment
  • Experience defining, refining and implement sales processes, procedures and policies 
  • Experience conducting a sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Demonstrate deep business acumen, preferably with experience in the enterprise software space
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of sales systems and tools (Salesforce, Excel, GainSight, and BI Tools)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with very strong presentation skills
