Role Overview
InStride is looking for a motivated Director, Sales Operations who wants to jump in head-first and help establish the sales go-to-market and business development infrastructure InStride will use to reach our vision and mission.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the efficient and effective closing of new Corporate Partnerships for InStride
- Support business development operations, including customer forecasts, pipeline and quota setting processes, along with the development of workflows, processes, and critical metric reports
- Work with each of InStride’s industry vertical leaders to define, maintain and implement strategies to identify high-potential prospective Corporate Partners, tailor our value proposition to their needs and drive the advancement of new commercial opportunities
- Help coordinate InStride’s interactions with partners, investors and advisors regarding business development activities and plans
- Support the design and execution of deal-related materials, and related resources
- Collaborate with all user groups across InStride to ensure system integrations, workflow, and process to optimally drive business needs
- Develop and maintain sales strategy documents, analyses and client-facing materials
- Support InStride’s CRM infrastructure team as needed
- Engage in timely and consistent handling of month-end processes (e.g. financial and sales reporting)
- Perform research and stay on top of industry-specific talent trends to advise focused sales pitches
- Collaborate as a key contributor in the Corporate Partnership team’s business development planning and execution on the go-to-market strategy.
- Work cross functionally to support the go-to-mark priorities including; RFPs, proposals, pricing, B2B marketing, and revenue operations.
- Accomplishes team results by communicating expectations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating the impact and quality of work for all direct report
- Responsible for the hiring, training, mentoring, development, and management of direct reporting InStriders.
Ideal Profile
- 7+ years business experience preferably in commercially-focused team(s) working with enterprise customers
- Strong executive presence, and confidence working directly with senior executives of InStride and partner organizations
- Ability to see past the numbers, apply creative concepts to devise solutions, and effectively present these concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience/understanding
- Strong analytical, research and synthesis skills, and capable of understanding key trends that inform Corporate Partnerships team strategy
- Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive teamwork
- Adept at project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with Salesforce CRM platform
- Clear and effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong business analysis skills, including MS Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong knowledge in operations strategy, issues and data analysis to deliver against business objectives.

- Exposure to the functioning of higher education institutions through direct experience or deep affiliation with the education industry
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required; MBA preferred.
- Enterprise sales, revenue ops, consulting, and/or EdTech experience preferred
- High EQ, comfort with ambiguity and a “no job too small” startup mentality
