Director Sales Consulting - ESOP (West Coast)
Responsibilities
As the Director of Sales Consulting for ESOP's, you'll market the West Coast territory to execute on ESOP record keeping and consulting services for our existing clients and prospects.
Some of the things you'll do:
- Partner with our distribution teams on sales opportunities that involve ESOP plans.
- Work with industry partners to help Principal maintain a strong leadership position and national presence in the ESOP arena.
- Execute on complex consulting agreements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required and a minimum of 5+ years experience in retirement, ERISA or employee benefits
- 3+ plus years experience working with ESOPs specificially
- Must have proven and demonstrated ability to leverage ESOP experience and knowledge to define and sell value added consulting services
- Strong demonstrated skills in consulting, negotiation, presentation, organizational and problem-solving required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical and oral written communication skills
- Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
- Must be able to build and maintain strong and effective relationships
- Travel required up to 75% of the time
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range
$127000 - $179000 / year
