In Buy-side Solutions, we serve investors, consultants and asset managers by helping them make better decisions. Our next-generation buy-side technology enhances customer performance, improves governance and ultimately helps win more business. Our dedicated team of sales, marketing and product management experts are passionate about delivering effective solutions to our customers.

Role/Responsibilities

Buy-Side Solutions business is one of the newly established groups within MA that is focused on offering financial technology solutions to asset owners, investment & actuarial consultants, asset management firms, and outsourced CIO firms. The group has developed its award-winning PFaroe technology platform being utilized by many firms across the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom. This group is one of the businesses to deliver growth in an industry that is looking for technology solutions that are easy to use, support quick decision-making for the users, and engage a client base.

This sales role is responsible for working with internal stakeholders to drive the sales process for Buy-Side Solutions and supporting the sales representatives for the US and Canada. Key activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, supporting new sales activity and sales cycles to closure, and building industry relationships. Additionally, the role requires the assessment of client needs and providing clients with strategic guidance and product overviews.

Buyside technology solutions include:

  1. PFaroe DB - Pension Risk Analytics software for the DB market
  2. PFaroe PM - Performance attribution and risk software
  3. Scenario Generator - asset model that develops capital markets projections over future time periods


As a Buy-Side Solution Business Development representative, you will have the opportunity to generate revenue by selling these technology software products within the US and Canadian Market. Your focus will be to grow relationships with North American investment & actuarial consulting firms, outsourced CIO firms, asset managers, and asset owners.

Qualifications

  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Work with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to initiate new sales activity and support client retention
  • Drive the development of business within North America
  • Run product demos to prospects.
  • Partner with sales colleagues to develop clear, concise proposals and deliver targeted client demos that address client needs.
  • Collaborate with product teams to promote improvement in product quality and the development of new sources of revenue.
  • Identify additional products and services that clients may benefit from and introduce them appropriately into dialogue with clients.
  • Being a market expert and provide product use cases during the sales cycle.
  • Assist in the preparation and circulation of market insight comments to create awareness of Moody's expertise internally and externally.
  • Position requires some travel

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $109,200 to $181,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
