Director of Sales, Americas - Global Supply Chain Services
Job Description:

The Director of Sales, Americas for Supply Chain Services is a commercial services leader who has a balanced approach to strategy and execution. This leader will have a track record of success in a business services environment where long-term contracts are a key to success. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker who has led teams and redesigned end-to-end sales processes to improve the effectiveness of the sales team and grow revenue. The Director of Sales will their team as a player/coach and become a trusted partner with clients by speaking their language and developing a relationship that builds a deeper understanding of their needs.

  • Provide strong hands-on leadership to the Americas sales organization, motivating employees in the field, elevating skill sets and developing talent in the organization.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with key accounts, priority customers, key third-party suppliers, representing the company in a manner that promotes the company's reputation as an industry leader.
  • Interface and collaborate with other critical functions to ensure that proper support exists within the company for all commercial efforts. Help foster an environment of teamwork and participation within own organization and collaboration within other Arrow selling organizations to strengthen value selling to the client.
  • Create and execute business plans for key Americas customers, strategic selling programs and account management practices necessary to successfully execute market opportunities.
  • Build and manage a sales force that exceeds sales targets. This will include working with existing customers to implement additional services, develop new business prospects, strategize on sales situations and participate in sales calls to close major contracts.
  • Ensure that a solution's selling strategy approach is fully implemented by continuously analyzing and evaluating sales performance and service level commitments.
  • Provide expertise in the development and implementation of specific market strategies and programs/processes to dramatically improve market penetration working in collaboration with global sales leader and peer in EMEA region.
  • Create, implement and manage broad-based strategic and tactical sales plans and the development of strategic alliances and third-party supplier relationships.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the marketplace and industry trends; provide leadership on these subjects to the internal supply chain services organization.
  • Implement and ensure all sales training programs are fully executed in Americas market.
  • As a key member of the executive team, bring ongoing marketplace experience to bear on corporate planning, including anticipation of, and reaction to, the moves of key competitors.
  • Take ownership for managing Americas sales financials, including revenue forecasts, marketing and other relevant sales support budgets.
  • Achieve specific growth objectives for clients, revenues, and profit contribution.


What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 15+ years of demonstrated success growing a global business-to-business sales function to growth, profitability, and account expansion.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value-based, complex proposals to C-level/senior management decision makers selling Global Supply Chain Service's value proposition and vast capabilities.
  • Experience leading and closing complex deal negotiations.
  • Expert consultative sales skills with the ability to convert leads into opportunities.
  • Proven prior success selling into world's largest companies.
  • Strategic business development experience within the component supplier, electronics distribution, electronics manufacturing, high-tech, and or/software solutions segments strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to, interact with, and influence C-level executives and/or senior management.
  • Experience enabling a consultative, proactive and anticipatory relationship with the client that has led to growth of the business.
  • Demonstrated successful skills building teams and operates as a team player, working effectively with colleagues and leveraging the capabilities of the organization to deliver a superior experience.
  • Experience building relationships and selling to the C-level suite within clients.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$178,600.00 - $350,042.73
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
