Job Description
The Director, Global Sales Strategy and Operations role is the key partner to our field sales organization responsible for providing strategic support with sales segmentation, territory design, sales process and KPI/SPIFF frameworks with the goal of exceeding short and long term financial goals. This role will have a small team of business partners aligned with the sales leaders to assist with requirements gathering and planning. The role will report to our Sr. Director of Global Strategy Channel and Sales Operations.
Responsibilities
Conduct an in-depth analysis of our business and develop a deep understanding of key value drivers to identify growth opportunities. Develop key insights for executive-level presentations and drive critical business decisions.
Drive cross-functional critical initiatives to accelerate productivity across the field, accelerate Motorola Solutions VS&A transformation to subscription offerings and achieve overall corporate objectives.
Partner with leaders to create business strategies and build business cases for potential headcount investments. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, and drive the follow-through of those recommendations with the Sales Operations team to ensure smooth execution.
Responsible for annual fiscal planning and execution including org structure, financial goal setting, quota setting, and market segmentation.
Support executive deliverables such as Board Reviews, Exec QBRs, and related duties as assigned.
Drive process and business systems improvements by crafting business requirements, managing subsequent cross-functional request intakes and execution of end-to-end processes for the Sales Operations department. Relentlessly seek out root cause problems and address them to drive cross functional improvements.
Partner with applicable departments to build in-depth knowledge of our Go-to-Market systems landscape & business processes to better leverage our current tools and identify key opportunities for improvements.
Develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems and workflow solutions.
Provides expertise on the use of company or third-party software products as it relates to the infrastructure and goals.
Interacts with senior internal and external personnel to gain support for solutions and implementation objectives.
Provide updates to key initiatives & roadmaps to leadership including key perspectives from other regions; identify areas of alignment needed across regions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or related experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Economics, Master’s is a plus.
5+ years working in a sales operations organization supporting 400+ sellers.
Experience in developing and/or executing sales and marketing technology programs, with experience around needs assessment and systems rollout in the sales and marketing space.
Experience in driving and leading change in a fast pace environment
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or related experience in Business, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related degree
5+ years working in a sales operations organization
