PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Director of Business Development and Operations will assist in driving the execution of the Company's content strategy by partnering with the Creative Leads on the creation and execution of business plans related to our original and owned content including but not limited to live and immersive experiences, interactive gaming and other content initiatives. This position will interact with multiple levels across the organization, including senior-level executives, to gain alignment and support for the effective implementation and long-term sustainability of cross-functional initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop business plans, budgets and proformas for projects by collaborating with the Creative Leads
- Conduct due diligence on potential concepts and partners
- Collaborate and lead the development of financial analyses to support business cases and investment decisions
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams on the development of property master plans in order to evaluate the best use of our real estate
- Facilitate due diligence on locations for concepts by partnering with properties and the design and development team
- Manage projects to ensure successful and timely completion within budget guidelines
- Partner during the negotiation of concepts and partnerships
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree business, sports management, entertainment or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Four (4) + years of operations and leadership experience in entertainment, media or a related field.
PREFERRED:
- Previous experience overseeing multiple projects in a production environment.
- Previous business development experience in entertainment and media
- Experience with financial models and business cases
- MBA degree from graduate business school, or similar graduate degree
- 2 years of leadership experience in business, management, or related field
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Ability to obtain a gaming license, if required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen as demonstrated through previous work experience
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure of deadlines, while working independently. Knows how to escalate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to present information in clear, concise terms to all position levels
- Strong and savvy interpersonal skills to work with a variety of internal constituencies, develop partner relationships and -Superior level of initiative, drive, and attention to detail.
- Understands short-term and long-term goals and can handle details.
- Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to review and edit contracts and collaborate effectively with legal.
