Cognizant's Digital Business is seeking a Director level Solution Sales Executive to help drive Digital Business engagements with our strategic clients.

This is a senior level role, owning sales and strategy.

Locations: US

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Forge relationships with VP/CXO decision makers across product engineering, manufacturing & automation, operations and technology organizations within a specific the desired industry.
  • Map client organization, build outstanding relationships with new business units, and build a sales strategy for developing new business opportunities
  • Run end-to-end lead generation, sales and RFI/RFP processes
  • Drive revenue by prioritization, structuring, and leading digital engagements
  • Work closely with the BU Leadership Team to define and drive the Interactive transformation strategy and service offering
  • Own and deliver on revenue, margin, pipeline, receivables and customer happiness targets
  • Envision and build new opportunities within existing and new businesses
  • Lead financial and contract terms, negotiation, and outsourcing discussions
  • Handle risks and issues related to the Account, including delivery oversight
  • Develop and implement Account Growth strategy and business plans
  • Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities.
  • Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets
  • Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals

Qualifications:
  • Sales Experience: 5+ years of experience in consultative selling of software engineering and experience design services/solutions, including both custom developed and platform based solutions.
  • Proven ability to handle entire sales lifecycle from opportunity identification (hunting/farming) to negotiation/contracting.
  • Capable of working with clients to envision, structure and specify solution requirements.
  • Proven ability to close deals ranging in size from $250K to $5M+
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and implementation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capable of structuring and editing presentations and proposals using content that is both self-generated and provided by colleagues
  • Self-drive, flexibility and ownership of objectives
  • Logical and structured approach to presenting opinions/views and interpretation of information
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions makers and develop followership among colleagues and subordinates
