Deal Desk Analyst
Role Description
As a member of Deal Desk, you will be the an enabler for contract velocity and deal structure guidance for our global sales team. Joining the Revenue Excellence and Operations team, you will have the opportunity to contribute across the full gamut of deal desk topics, as well as gain exposure to broader sales strategy and operational areas.
You will execute processes for our deal desk programs, act as the trusted sales guide to execute complex deal structures and terms, think critically and proactively to identify improved processes and approaches, and synthesize information from multiple sources to drive deal execution across all sales verticals and regions.
Responsibilities
- Provide deal desk and order management support for our sales team
- Respond to sales escalations, perform administrative fixes using tooling, perform reporting/monitoring and consult on improvements to the overall sales operations
- Ensure adherence to our quote to contract processes and policies
- Minimize friction within our sales process by providing guidance around complex scenarios that sales teams encounter during the course of a deal cycle
- Craft proposals as the go-to liaison between our sales team and legal/finance
- Engage with internal sales teams to resolve queries and open issues related to ordering processes
- Develop an in-depth understanding of licensing models and recommend contract structures
- Maintain scalable operations to increase contract velocity and efficiency
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in order management, deal desk or related sales operations functions
- Self-starter with prior experience with cross-functional pricing and proposal execution across sales, legal and finance
- Clear and thoughtful communicator with critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and recommend licensing structures and contract terms
- Prior experience with Salesforce and quote to contract (cash) tools and processes
