Aerospace’s Civil Systems Group (CSG) is seeking qualified individuals as a Customer Support Account Manager in the Federal Civil and Commercial Programs Development Directorate. The Directorate is responsible for providing full lifecycle independent assessment, systems engineering and integration (SE&I), and mission assurance to Federal non-DOD agencies and Commercial sector customers across the space and related complex systems enterprise.
What You'll Be Doing
- The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for all dimensions of the Directorate’s relationship with customers and customer community and leading and supporting efforts to deliver SE&I Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) value. This includes assisting management in establishing and evolving CSG’s growth strategy and plans aligned with customer needs, value propositions, long term opportunity identification and capture execution.
Key requirements include:
- Maintain and expand customer relationships across civil and commercial sectors, and partner with program and project management to ensure customer needs are met.
- Lead and support the development of strategic initiatives and roadmaps for advanced capabilities and technologies including hypersonic vehicles.
- Understand customer issues and requirements and be the voice of the customer to communicate these to executive management as well as Aerospace capture and proposal teams.
- Support the strategy, planning, development, pursuit and capture of opportunities, consistent with corporate policies/practices, goals, and business development objectives.
- Collaborate with legal, contracts, finance/accounting, and other business development staff to facilitate the drafting and executing of non-disclosure agreements, conflict of interest mitigations, and other partnering agreements.
- Engage regularly and maintain effective relationships with customer decision makers.
- Establish and maintain Aerospace’s reputation with customers as a thought leader and problem solver by professionally representing the Corporation, and collaborating with customers in a disciplined fashion to achieve their mission needs.
- Engage Aerospace senior executives with customer’s leadership
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop presentations, factsheets, and other materials to communicate with internal and external stakeholders the critical updates, needs, and path forward of high visibility technical programs and projects.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution; MBA preferred
- Exhibits exceptionally high level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- MBA from a recognized institution
- Business development experience with Federal Civil organizations (DOC, DOJ, DOE, NASA)
- Previous work experience at either an FFRDC or National Laboratory
