The Red Hat Cloud Success team is looking for a Customer Success Architect with a solid background in cloud and DevOps technologies to join us. In this role, you will help customers across North America achieve and exceed their business outcomes using Red Hat's cloud infrastructure products. The Cloud Success team's mission is to engage with customers early in their cloud computing journey and help to ensure they realize maximum value from their Red Hat subscription investment. You will become an expert in cloud and DevOps technologies and a trusted partner, adviser, and advocate for key enterprise customers and strategic partners. You'll help the global Cloud Success team go beyond break-fix solutions and focus on engaging with customers early during the adoption life cycle to ensure a positive experience and successful adoption of our offerings. As a Customer Success Architect, you must be well versed in cloud infrastructure, hybrid cloud computing, and Red Hat's enterprise open source portfolio and possess an inherent ability to form individual and group trust partnerships to act as an ambassador for Red Hat's products and services. The work location for this position is flexible. Red Hat has offices across North America and home-based, remote applicants will be considered.
What you will do

  • Develop firm trust relationships with customers and partners, understand their business needs and technical challenges; build trust partnerships at all levels of the customer's organization
  • Maintain and grow an in-depth understanding of customers priorities and required business outcomes; provide proactive recommendations and align to Red Hat's product roadmap and be able to translate customer challenges into solutions orientated actions
  • Use effective communication skills to effectively give presentations to technical customer levels; use engagements to capture customer feedback across Red Hat products and services, advocate for this feedback across Red Hat
  • Use industry standard operating procedures and associated tools; engage convincingly across Red Hat's support teams to guide customer and partner topics to successful conclusion
  • Act as an advocate for innovation and the early adoption of cloud technologies, and proactively increase awareness of industry trends
  • Engage with Red Hat's internal teams, customers, and partners to ensure a positive cloud technology onboarding experience resulting in long-term enterprise success
  • Act as an ambassador, increase Red Hat's influence with key industry thought leaders by helping to develop, articulate, and refine our overall strategy, technology vision, and case examples of customer impact; be comfortable with the delivery of technical presentations within varied internal and external forums and audiences
  • Travel, as necessary, to visit customers, partners, conferences, and other events


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a support, development, engineering, IT, or quality assurance (QA) organization within an enterprise environment
  • Experience working in DevOps environments
  • Experience with technologies like Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), application container platforms, Kubernetes development platform, cloud management, and IT automation
  • Ability to deliver advisory customer facing engagements on your own
  • Capacity to provide architectural advice on customers' hybrid cloud design and solutions
  • Practical experience on large scale virtualization deployments and public cloud providers
  • Experience in using software-defined networking (SDN) and storage solutions
  • Practical Linux experience; Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is a plus
  • Ability to provide technical mentoring and coaching to junior team members
  • Excellent problem solving ability, using diagnostic information gathering, analytical thinking, forward thinking, and conceptual thinking techniques
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver engagements with changing requirements
  • Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information to customers clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrable presentation and facilitation skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related discipline; computer science or engineering is a plus
