Cloud and Network Services

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia's enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

The CNS Business Applications Services team is seeking a Customer Solution Architect to support the development and delivery of our CNS portfolio for customers in the NAM region. Our CNS portfolio includes service fulfillment, orchestration, messaging/emergency applications like BMC and assurance solutions that enable our CSPs to integration their networks to CNS platforms like BMC (Broadcast Message Center) to create new business models and intelligent automation in the 5G era.

The Customer Solution Architecture role covers the development and implementation of end-to-end solution architecture designed to meet specific needs and works as a part of a customer team. The efforts include the definition of an architecture which comprises an integrated design and specification of products and / or services which makeup the solution. The candidate will play a lead role in assisting our customers as they transition their operations from legacy process into automated solutions supporting 5G network deployments.

The Customer Solutions Architect acts as a trusted advisor partnering with the customers on their needs. They understand and capture the critical inputs of stakeholders and translates them into effective requirements and solutions. They specify and design effective end-to-end solutions incl. customer-specific adaptations by using the Nokia portfolio of products, systems and / or services as well as 3rd party products where required. This includes the application of solution architecture standards, processes, and principles to create and maintain a solution's (technical) integrity over time.

  • Closely working with customers Solution Architect to define and execute emergency messaging use cases and call flows supporting current and future business needs
  • Architecting Application, Storage containerization /virtualization migration from current monolithic structures - HLD, LLD, Deployment diagrams, Sequence Diagrams
  • Providing Estimation for features and functionalities requested by customer
  • Orchestrating DevOps & Establishing DevOps (CI/CD) - hands on DevOps experience is a must
  • Help resolving complex production issues if support, product, services team needs deep technical expertise.
  • Act as Trusted Technical Advisor for customer & Internal stakeholders (PMs, Account/Sales teams) .
  • Mentoring development teams in implementing designed solution
  • Articulate technical risks and provide tradeoffs & Abatement plans.
  • Provide technical leadership to perform product upgrades in collaboration with Domain Architects and Hosted Architects
  • Create POCs & lead by example by create standard modules /frameworks
  • Help in reviewing project schedule, issues, risks
  • Review & define Serviceability requirements in collaboration with Hosted and Product Architects.
  • Experience with evaluating and recommending new technologies to solve complex business problems


Your skills and experience

  • Experience with key CNS SDM , 5G Applications, BMC etc
  • Experience with 5G architecture, particularly Core Network is required.
  • Experience in architecting cloud native solutions
  • Experience in Diameter, Radius, SS7, Relational Databases, UNIX, TCP/IP, HTTP, XML, SOAP, LTE and Shell Scripts
  • Experience in CI/CD processes
  • Experience and knowledge of deploying solutions in cloud environments (Nokia Container Services, Microsoft Azure, Amazon EKS, VMware Tanzu, ) and general knowledge of WebScale technology
  • Experience Data streaming, data ingestions, machine learning and workflow automation
  • Expertise and experience in Application, Storage containerization / virtualization stack
    Example : Kubernetes, hypervisor, exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana, BELK/Kibana (log aggregation tools), Prometheus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must for this role.
  • Ability to lead complex projects
  • System Integration experience
