Overview

Smartling is looking for a new business sales professional for a remote, work-from-home role, located anywhere in the continental United States.

The Channel Sales Executive will be responsible for growing Smartling’s revenue through channel partners.  The primary objective of this role is increasing revenue from leads created by existing partners, while also identifying and recruiting new partners. The ideal candidate will have relevant sales and business development skills, allowing them to optimize channel-driven sales while identifying new channel opportunities as well.   This strategic sales role will also require the candidate to deliver updates and recommendations to the management team to help synthesize the company’s channel strategy. 

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing complex sales, in both direct and indirect roles. This individual will be required to thoroughly understand Smartling’s product and services offerings, and its unique value and positioning.  

The Channel Sales Executive will be responsible for the development of assigned territory business plans, the development and execution of a go-to-market plan for individual partners, measurement of channel success, identification of competitors, planning and participating in targeted webinars, industry conferences, and trade shows. The successful candidate will maintain strong working relationships internally with sales, marketing and product teams.

You Will

  • Identify and develop new partners by qualifying inbound partner inquiries and through outbound prospecting of ideal partner profiles
  • Develop compelling business value propositions that encourage partners to invest in promoting Smartling solutions
  • Provide primary management level contact for designated channel partners and ensure that quality standards are set and met. These standards include revenue targets, reporting requirements, and technical expertise in the partner community
  • Plan and execute co-operative marketing activities to support partner lead generation
  • Increase Smartling’s revenue through active management of assigned existing partners
  • Qualify, develop and manage a robust pipeline to exceed quarterly and annual goals
  • Facilitate continual generation of case studies, press releases and customer references

You Have

  • Proven experience working within teams to drive revenue through partnerships, alliances and channel programs, preferably in a SaaS software and tech-driven services vertical
  • 4-5 years relative channel / indirect sales work experience
  • Proven track record in over achieving quarterly and annual quota, with relevant experience in channel sales
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, especially with other departments to ensure partner and customer satisfaction
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • The ability to travel as needed (10%)
