Leveraging your experience in cloud and digital transformation, you will be guiding your customers' through their biggest challenges by leveraging VMware's portfolio of industry-leading solutions and its world class partner ecosystem. You will be working with Fortune 500 business leaders and be a consultative thought leader combining design-thinking, strategy consulting, enterprise architecture, and financial intelligence.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

A VMware Business Solution Strategist works with our top customers to help build a strategic outcome of Application and Cloud Transformation.

• Run internal strategy development sessions
• Lead Customer Executive Briefings and Solution Design Workshops
• Meet with various customer stakeholders to develop deliverables for outcomes related to their transformation
• Develop value models using VMware tooling to depict milestone achievement of your customer success criteria

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

You will engage with the customers to identify the business challenges, provide guidance on a long-term business and technology strategy, and align the people, processes, and technology to generate a successful solution to positively impact the customer desired outcomes. This includes facilitation of customer executive meetings, leading design workshops, participating in industry conferences, forums, and panel discussions. As a thought leader, we encourage publishing insightful articles for our CxO platforms.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

As one of four Business Solution Strategists, you will team with your peers to build and maintain strong relationships with your customers and represent the VMware portfolio to drive new opportunity. The team is a diverse group of former CxO, VP, & Directors, as well as strategy consultants and industry veterans that have led large scale business initiatives. The BSS leverages a pod of resources including analysts and offer managers to develop comprehensive results. Culture is a differentiating factor for this diverse and inclusive group with a very seasoned and collaborative leader employing inspirational methods for the team to thrive and celebrate shared success.

Where is this role located?

Remote: this role is fully remote and can be done anywhere in Western US region. Up to 50% travel comprising mostly regional day trips with occasional overnight travel including conferences, and team meetings can be expected.
